What's new

Zayn Malik's latest music video is breaking the internet

Arent u lahori?
I am. I know Lahore is considered North however I'm talking even more North, mountain North.

To be fair, my close circle of friends include me (a Lahori), a friend from Multan, Karachi and Gujranwala but we are very few in numbers... Kashmiri's came to the UK around the 1970's as labour force and later settled here for good.

.
they look like tattoo sleeves, the last video.
Whatever they or not is subjective but I know Ali Zafar has far more followers [in Pakistan] then you and I ever will. He does not yank my chain but there millions in Pakistan who would disagree with me. We all have our opinions. Every generation has their music.

This is one of my favs nowadays

Nothing like a bit of QB... You have good taste!

I agree, he has probably one of the biggest fan followings in Pakistan and he's not the type of person that I listen to aswell.

Where are you from my friend?
I miss Lahore a lot, the food, the culture and most of all Basant... The day I know Basant is happening I will be on the first flight to Lahore. You don't get much traditional Pakistan in the UK, Middle East has a lot more of real Pakistani culture. Most of the Pakistanis here don't even speak Urdu which is saddening; they refer to each other as "Pak1"... I've always hated that and have always stood strong against the word. There is way too much "shoha" culture in the British-Pakistani community.

Ali zafar is lacking every melody sort of singer he rose to fame due to looks.

Shiraz uppal is a great singer n musicians, rohail hayat is awesome, arif lohar is in another great league in folk singers. Asim azhar is a new sensation. I am not fond of his voice but man his singing skills are unmatchable, truly gifted but dont like his voice.

Nadeem shaukat is our BESTEST product. In coke studio pakistan they reprise old classics and almost all the times they are a fail, this time they made a useless singer alizafar as he has no sense of melody sing to a classic and he destroyed it. Then nadeem shaukat alongwith humaira channa reprised another classic and man first time iever felt if anyoen could perfectly do a classic then its nadeem he is rather new comlared to humaira and she was no where closer to him. Heres nadeems resung classic for coke studio

And heres the new rising talent asim

No i dont believe music is haram yes the vulgar type defo will be like item songs or vulgar poetry or cusswords laden stuff like eminems trashy junk and bold videos etc but music itself isnt haram, there is no direct hadees that calls music haram. Yea it may not be too great if u spend ur whole day with ear phones plugged into ears but indulging into quality music for sometime is nothing wrong.
There is a hadith comparing Musical instruments to wine/alcohol.

I am surprised you do not know this. You can youtube this. Dr. Zakir Naik answered this.

I am from Rawalpindi and Islamabad by the way.

And by publishing his music video through NCA's budget.

One person I have been listening to recently is Sahir Ali Bagga and the new season of Virsa (PTV Music Show). Nabeel is a strong singer and has been tested on pritty much every genra of music when he was on Sur Kshetra.

This is just one video but if you follow all the stars they say the same story.
Your body is like a vessel, the jinn possess you and take over your body and play the music.
That why you get super natural talent that make you a star above others.

of course nobody has to believe but there are many not Muslim but white people saying this and exposing this.

I am partly punjabi and kashmiri ethnically, we hail from a village in punjab but have never lived there and settled in isloo islamabad but my soul is somewhere in lahore.

Yea totally agree about diminishing pak culture amongst brit pak communities. Have relatives in uk and they have seriously abandoned urdu language which aches my heart the new born cousins could barely utter a sentence in urdu. Myself since my childhood had some very strange afinity towards urdu language and pakistani culture and i cant let go of it , it would be like losing my whole identity to me.

Even Junaid Jamshed gave up the music industry, because he believed music is haraam.
