Some people detest tattoos cause they think tattoos are worn by people who work for secret societies like illuminatis or any other etc.

Like in pakistan a model ayyan ali was caught in money laundering , she wore a tattoo and almost every female celebrity after sometime in pakistani showbiz wears tattoos, after ayyans arrests it came out these tattoos are some identification marks or signs that are used in money laundering world.

I think what most of your Pakistanis muslim brothers here have against him is the fact that he seems to have deviated from the path of Islam and adapted to the British/western way of life which is quite different from what they believe Islam teaches It seems they don't think he lives the life of a good muslim and that he is not a good representation of an Islamic state like Pakistan.
I supposed they would have liked to see someone with a different set of values and way of life, which is understandable if we look at things from their point of view.
In short, he would have never made it in this field to this level if he was living in Pakistan or if he had stuck to the country's way of life /values /religion. I think this is the message your fellow Pakistanis here are trying to convey.
