What's new

Zaban-e-Ordu or language of the army and later just Urdu

I think our we must understand the importance of National Language...even after six decades of our partition the vocabulary of Urdu is the same....in-fact it has lost its originality. Now its too much influenced by English words....just for a moment think how many English words we use in our every second sentence. The reason is that our Urdu was a mixture of Arabic,Hindi and Persian in the past, words were taken from these languages....now English is the global language and Urdu is influenced by it.

If things remain same then may be after 20 yrs we will start writing Roman Urdu(just like in TxT msgs) in normal day life:smokin:

Jamal problem is that we do not have a Pakistani language at the moment. Urdu is under stood by most of the Pakistanis but it is some times really difficult to speak. Like for us Punjabis they say we talk in a Paindu (villager) accent. Pathans way of speaking is also joked about.
Unless we create a Pakistani language based on all languages of Pakistan just like the Turks did, there will always be a problem of owing the language.

You cannot do that. it is scientifically impossible to combine two or more grammatically distinct languages.

But shouldn't there be a Pakistani language? A language based on Urdu simplified by adding Punjabi Baluchi Pashtu Kashmir words to make it more Pakistani

That is possible yes. As long as there is no grammatical conflict between the borrowed word and the language assimilating it.
