Is it me or the shape of WZ-10 look weird .....the shape is you know unappealing.

No ... we already discussed that "ad nauseum" ...

1. there is no WZ-9 or WZ-10 ... just Z-10.

2. the Z-10H is not a naval version, since it is fielded at regular PLA-LH units.

3. They are a mystery but IMO / most likely not new but in fact early production models or pre-serials since only these feature the old-style fuselage-configuration spotted so far only on the prototypes & pre-serials. As such no WZ-16 turboshaft, simply the old one maybe uprated.

As noted in my image there are:

- the Z-10 prototypes + a few pre-serials with old fuselage and optics
- the regular serial Z-10A with revised fuselage and optics
- the Z-10H which are IMO modified preserials since they still feature the old fuselage and optics
- the latest Z-10K - IMO a probably updated Z-10A which are used by the PLAAF's 15. AC
