Mine is simple, we both knew each other for almost 8 years before marriage. Many ups and downs but marriage interview was an highlight…

Both belongs to family with defense background. I've known my wife and her parents for while and didn't know that our families had already decided to let us tie knot. But rather they asked me to appear for an interview (selection) in from of Colonel shahab. …….. Colonel ....oh my God.

I was very nervous. My Friends, and wife told me not show it during my INTERVIEW and advised to ask about military operations, UN peace keeping missions and about military equipments.

We started with formal introduction as if we were meting first time, followed by usual snacks with tea. We talked about career, INA & our late grandfather, etc…. Then my wife signaled me to do more to impress my “would be” in laws.

I've started talking about engg. Degree, Job and my newly bought Maruti Zen. We praised car’s performance followed by various vehicle, including Zonga and T series tanks.

And then I lobbed a grenade.... asked what is mileage for T72 tank? There was a silent for few second .... many things went thru my mind ………….. I felt as if I’ve done something stupid ….. and then....... LOL …. every one laughed to the extent that colonel sir got tears. …. I was still blinking…. Worried ….. have I done something wrong? …..

Colonel Shahab approved my request... now it 10yrs of happy life. I'm still afraid of Colonel without mustache.
