i travelled to Beirut in 2004, and had the time of my life there. Magical, and fun city.

I was there for about a month and I put on almost 5-6 kg in weight due to the ''halawa'' which i had to burn off when i returned home

^^ dudes your location is Parachinar, I know that place is also very beautiful, spent my childhood days in Parachinar and kurram way back during the Soviet Afghan war.
I still Remember some of the Mujahideen shot down a Russian Passenger plane using Stinger Missiles which was illegaly flying over Pakistani Airspace. I saw it coming down and was scared alot..!!!

Yes Parachinar is paradise.....winters can be hell though, since most of the houses are not so well insulated.

Our village Alamsher and the sister village Badama are spectacular. Unfortunately there is not much tourism any more since lower Kurram does have presence of militants. The roads sometimes get blocked and it creates problems

as for the anti-soviet days; my father always used to see red-haired Chechens and Arab fighters on the fokker flight from Peshawar to Parachinar.

It's one of the areas where locals have no sympathy for the militants; a lot of 'our people' are in the military.



if i had to choose anywhere (in Pakistan) for my honeymoon ; it would probably be Skardu. The mentality of the people there is so much different; so relaxed. No tension, no drama.
