Aren't Baluchis stateless? Like the gypsies of Europe? I recall Emirati’s and Omani’s particularly Lawatis referring to Baluchis in their own country as nomadic. Do all Baluchis originate from Baluchistan in Pakistan?

I don't believe they are primarily a nomadic people. Most of the tribes are settled in their respective areas.

As pointed out often, Kashmir is a territorial dispute with pending UNSC resolutions validating it as a territorial dispute whose resolution hinges upon the successful exercise of the right of self-determination by the people of J&K.

The above has been recognized by India, Pakistan and the international community.

No such context exists for Baluchistan.

Baluchistan can only be compared with the separatist movement in Indian Punjab in the past and the current violence in the Indian North Eastern States.

I was not trying to score a point for Kashmir by equating it with Balochistan. The intent was to show how similar are the sentiments/mind sets that exist on both sides of the border..

was just an observation...

So you mean the majority of Pakistanis would support occupying Baluchistan?

I hope this is never the case and i wish Pakistan nothing but peace and prosperity, but i get the sense that the majority of the Baluchis want independence.

Its the Balochis majority on your side of the Border, occupied by Iran, who wish for Independence, not on this side.

By sitting abroad, and with no internal info, except for the international media outlets news, such ignorance and views can be expected out of you and others.

So for you and our other Indian members, who very arrogantly raise up this issue again and again, would be better that you guys first look into the independence movements being run inside your own countries and then talk about us.

The majority of the militant activity and call for independence is raised and done from the 3 major tribally controlled areas, who get paid from abroad and whose leaders are sitting outside the country and do what their foreign paid masters tell them to do.

So Indian members should care about the 50%+ insurgency hit area of their own, while the Iranians should also look into their own issues, rather then both poking their noses in our internal issues.

lets share my personal experience:-:argh:

I live in NWFP but i spent my 25 years in Quetta (Balochistan)
now when Indian or Other people talk about Balochistan it looks funny to me .... cause.....
1) As said most of the baloch people aren't intersted in this Azad Balochistan because they dont have good jobs and their (Sardar's) Lords they did not let them for education now Baloch people are not very much qualified hence they are not applicable for the good jobs. so... they get to the level of clerk or some to bit higher through Intercession.
2) the people talk about Balochistan as there only baloch people live realy dont have any knowledge about the population and the area.
the area is devided into baloch and pashton belt as under
From Zhob to Chaman, Pishin , Quetta base on pashton people they are very patriotic people. and in quetta most of the buisness is run by pashton population and on good post are pashton or setler's(from panjab, NWFP)
and from Quetta To Turbat Gawadar and naseer ababd Sibi its called as baloch area but the population is very little as compare to the area i dont know about exact figures of baloch areas but i have visited all baloch areas and the population and the area is very much backward still they belive their Sardars as each and every thing.
now from this some points come to the table.
i) balochistan is not only a baloch area 1st
ii) what the pashton populatin want media dont even bring it out and the pashton population is almost double then baloch's
iii) and are all the baloch pop: wants the same as media propegates (NoOOOO)
iv) and as Asim said in BLA its not only baloch people but its based on (rented killers) including Afghans. their tranning camps are in afghanistan.

Thnx and Regards
