You won't believe how cool Ubuntu is

So I've recently started using Ubuntu a lot more... I even made it my primary OS and was in the process of doing some virtulization and was doing another Ubuntu install, latest version.

Guess what I noticed?

The first thing I was prompted right after putting in the CD "Wireless Network detected"

Then I saw a link, I clicked on it and the browser opened up!

I'm browsing here while my OS is being installed. How insanely cool is that?

Ubuntu can be used as live CD, you can even use all of its functionalities without installing just through CD.

The real thing is when you will use Ubuntu software center. almost everything u need is there. and greatest of all feature is the sudo command. i have been using ubuntu for 1 year now. first had windows also. but no more windows and all free softwares. and then when i need something of windows WINE comes handy....

Its better to use live USB but speed comes down considerably.....

Ubuntu is good, if only they could make Gwibber running properly.

they actually load the kernel to the memory, so having os installed in your hard disc isn't a requirement. other distros can do that as well.

hey are you also having problems with gwibber. it just worked for me only 1 time when i logged in. it takes a lot of time to fetch the data....

have you tried deja dup back up tool?

Oh for that sake puppy linux is best. Whole OS loads up in memory....

You are right Asim, mujhe bhi hamari member "Divya" ne Ubunto ka chaska daal diya howa hai. I was surprised to see it running the whole operating system in my USB only without the need to install it anywhere.

Later on I created a new partition in my hard dive and installed the whole operating system and was astonished to see the firefox running while in the process of installation. Indeed its a very innovative system packed with a lot of free applications.

Only thing I am disappointed is its graphics that are not so good enough otherwise its one of the best operating system I have used in my life using Linux since the day I installed for the first time and planning to keep it forever

gwibber is shyt. i tried many ways, purged the whole damn thing in the end. I'm using tweetdeck for chrome, it works and u dont need adobe air.
