No compromise on Kulbushan Yadav's sentence: Corps Commanders
Published : 13 April 2017.

The Corps Commanders’ Conference maintained on Thursday that no compromise will be made on the death sentence awarded to Indian spy Kulbushan Yadav, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The 201st conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) was presided over by Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa, who was briefed about progress in the Indian spy’s case.

Yadav – who was caught in Balochistan last year and later confessed to fomenting terrorism in Pakistan – was awarded the death penalty on April 10 in an unprecedented decision that sparked a diplomatic spat between the two hostile neighbours.

He was arrested on March 3 last year during a counter-intelligence operation in the Mashkel area of Balochistan. A few weeks later, the army released his recorded confessional statement in which he admitted he had been working for India’s premier spy agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), to stoke unrest and 0instability in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and Karachi.

The high-level huddle decided that the country’s leadership will make no compromise on the anti-state acts committed by the Indian spy.

Further, the forum also reviewed the national security environment and recent developments in the region. The military leaders discussed the progress of operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and provision of support to ongoing national housing and population census.

Gen Bajwa lauded the efforts of intelligence agencies and other law enforcers towards the successful execution of counter-terrorism operations across the country.

The problem is you need to have the international community on board. I'm not sure the Pakistanis are really understanding the gravity of needing international backing of their claims i.e. you don't want to be seen as the Kim Jun-Un of S. Asia making sweeping statements without a transparent process or credible evidence. Else it makes this international incident and the statements on it only true in the eye of the beholder(s)
Simple problem is spies and espionage activities treated in very harsh way that's it trial fear or not guy has confessed his espionage and terror activities on behalf of Indian govt involved in this mess

Rightly said you can't protest against such acts even internationaly no country will back Indian claims in this case of national security
