Ok guys

Today I read an article in Brunch Magazine about how your internet privacy is being Hindered and How many sites and agencies are monitoring your every online move .

Now to find out How many people are tracking your internet surfing
What you need is Mozilla Firefox Internet Browser

On the start page of latest versions of firefox , their is a Add-ons link
Click that link and you will get various add ons available , in search add-ons option , type collusion

And then install collusion add-on
Make sure you make add-on bar available in setting

Now in bottom right corner of Firefox , you will see a round icon with red border , click on it

To see the map of all those sites tracking you

For example when i open Defence.pk , and then click on the collusion icon

I find that I am being tracked by sites that i have never even heard of like
Tynt.com, Doubleclick.net, Zedo.com, Rbidder.net , scorecardsearch.com, addthis.com

While when i open Hindustantimes.com , I find that I am being tracked by Google.com ,Doubleclick.com and even facebook.com

Frankly some of these sites could be front of ISI, Raw , CIA or even JUD, L e T


I think members should try to find out who is tracking them

yup.. just like with smartphones... smartphones record everything, where you are and when, when you last recharged battery, who you text, when you text. what you browse on the phone via internet.. who you call... even if you delete texts and calls etc... it still remembers it...you could have smartphone feature to monitor where you are turned off.. it will still know where you are and record it

Dude , what I meant was different online sites were tracking your every move on the net

I mean Some like Google.com or Facebook.com are harmless , but you cant say the same about addthis.com or tynt.com which look like they belong to some CCP bankrolled Hacker

Ok guys I have given you the instructions regarding how to find who is tracking you while Browsing PDF or watching **** so

How about you guys post which site is tracking you while you people pass your time on PDF before the start of Euro 2012 Final

They are basically advertising cookies
Used to profile a user.

Of course they use tracking for the advertisements. I can promise you the guys in Iran and Pakistan aren't seeing the same banners I do.

After finishing browsing, clean the PC with Ccleaner or similiar tools and the cookies will be removed from the system..doubleclick.net cookie is ubiquitous i think

Oh you guys are ******* noobs.These cookies are mainly used to determine your interest level and Google (doubleclick is owned by Google Inc) then accordingly shows ad.So if you are searching for naked chicks then google would show you dating ads - Similarly if you are searching for defense related topics then Mil Related Ads would show up..You can turn off cookies but then site login won't work as it also relies on Cookies.If government wanted to watch you they won't need to use cookies they would just get all the info right from the source .In any case, there are plugins which let you disable cookies for individual sites.

Scary i keep getting ads for airforce jobs and wedding rings i think my GF has hacked my computer.
