Thank for the hospitality in thought.

I have a few pictures of Pakistani people I saved a few years back which I'd like to share them with you. I am not sure if these are genuine. Are they?

Oh. I collected these pictures from the internet, not knowing for certain if the people in these pictures were indeed Pakistanis. I have no one here to ask.

Now I have the confirmation from you that indeed they are.

I think the last picture is a woman performing a Sufi dance? In a trance?

Are you upset because it was brought to light, or are you saying it is false reporting?
I don't think it's false reporting, things like these are still happening in India. These issues has to be brought up, it further justifies the demand for labour law in the country. Regardless of timing and western media, it's a mess and we need to sort it out.

Last one is a drag queen or Transexual .

Oh, my! Indians! Learn some self respect. Please. Truth-telling, even if painful to hear, is not a conspiracy.

well as you can clearly see that no body has called it a lie or a conspiracy theory or an anti-Indian article so far.we know that we have a large population who live under the Poverty line as defined by the U.N.(>$2 a day) and we are sincerely trying for the past 2 decades to get them out of their poverty and i think we have done a commendable job so far.so hold your horses as there is absolutely no need to bash India or her citizens unnecessarily....

The first picture is probably from the Punjab Province of Pakistan where you've got a troupe of performers beating that big drum called a 'Dhol' - You usually find them performing at weddings here in the Punjab or some times at public events too when an informal & more jovial ambiance is there !

The second picture in which the little girls wearing those ornamental dresses with embroidery on them, are collecting flowers is from the North Parts of Pakistan, most probably, from a placed called Kalash where the Kalash People live ! They are Animists & they often claim lineage or said to descend from the Armies of Alexander when he visited these areas - there are even Greek Scholars there sent by the Government of Greece to do studies on them & others like them & to run a museum there !

The third picture, where two guys appear to fighting in their underpants whilst the rest are watching them, is most probably from India but what they are taking part in is called as Pehalvani - its kinda a like Greeco-Roman Wrestling with an Oriental - Indo-Pak flavor to it !

These wrestling bouts happen in their respective Akharaas - Oriental equivalent of a Gym where & this is more of a Punjabi thing & hence is common both in Indian Punjab & Pakistani Punjab !

But it is also a dying sport because the Urban Punjabis don't usually give much patronage to these things that much !

The fourth picture - that of a boy - could either be from Pakistan or from Afghanistan ! The boy is wearing a Swati Cap which is native to the Pukhtoon belt of Pakistan & Afghanistan but is widely worn in the rest of Pakistan as well !

The fifth picture is most probably that of a dancing eunuch - a trans-sexual that cross dresses if you will !

They are common here in the Indo-Pak region !

This is a shame. Sadly right now we can not do anything about it. But the United States can do a lot. They can implement the Dodd Frank rule as early as possible. At least we have to start from somewhere.

India should keep slavery in its own country rather than export it to the US.

a flurry of anti-India articles?

lolo

They are nothing compared with the number of anti-China reportings of all forms churned out by the western propaganda machines。

And some Indians love posting those trash。

lolo:rofl:

Our country is diverse u will find every type of people even stereotypes both religious and Liberal . But the reason why we r usually frustrated by west is that it only focuses one type of our society's stereotypes and portrays as if they r all Pak has to offer.....Hence people develop misunderstands which eventually becomes hate and hostility.

So thats the reason why in west anyone u ask them abt Pak they will think of Mullas and Suicide bombers etc etc.
But im not saying that doesnt exist but its just a small part of pak, Afterall we r 180+ million people living in this very diverse country....Which has Deserts to Mountains covered with Glaciers like the second highest mountain in the world K-2. 13 of the worlds top mountain peaks r in this country and has the highest concentration of glaciers outside poler world!

We have long beaches filled with coral reefs to agricultural fertile lands to rocky surfaces. We even have one of world's more rarest places like Mangroves, Mud Volcanoes and Cold Deserts like Skardu cold desert where the temperatures reaches from -45 census to 45 census in summers. In winter u will see this desert literally covered with snow almost all of it!

And not just that we have historical sights dating back to 2000 to 4000BC old. And what not.

Visit Pakistan Tourism section for more info.
This is a very good documentary abt our country and its diversity.
