Yemen conflict: Pakistan is sitting on a time bomb

eygpt went in due to receiving over 10 billion dollars and comitment of over 13 billion dollars for new city.

as for pakistan 1.5 billion i snothing, we should return it ..

the real issue is that whole of the Arab world and turkey have already sided against Tehran aggressive policy in Yemen..and for Pakistan staying quiet means siding with Iran..

the best way probably will be to refuse military intervention but politically support saudis in modest way and asking the side to cease fire...

//Silence means siding with Iran//

HUH ?

You obViously can't appreciate the power of diplomacy do you ? But then pakistanis never understood the nuances of it ! The world is too complicated for them. All they know is to jump into a war where they have no business ! ( Even US should stay out of that shit hole )

I can venture a guess why lot of pakistanis suppport it ! They think that if they fight alongside their sunni brothers, some magical kinship would grow among the muslim (predominantly sunni) nations and that would pave the way for the dream of a modern caliphate ! :lol:

Truth cannot be more further than that.

I am certainly not with Iran. Actions of Ayatollah Khalkhali immediately after the fall of the Shah were not much different from the actions of Al-Qaida. In my view theocracy of Iran and Wahhabism of Saudi Arabia are two sides of the same coin. Let us face it; the only real difference between the hardliner Shias & extremist Sunnis is about who was the most deserving candidate for leading the Ummah after the holy Prophet (PBUH).

In this case keeping silent does not mean siding with Iran. There is no evidence of Iranian fighters in Yemen. Houthis have not attacked Saudi Arabia, it the Saudis who are bombing the Yemeni cities and causing collateral damage.

This is clear cut case of foreign interference in the neighbouring country. What right do Saudis have to re-install Hadi as president of Yemen when he has been thrown out by the Yemenis? By this analogy, Russian actions in Ukraine are justified. Ukrainians also ousted an elected president who fled to Russia.

It is immaterial who is fighting who in Yemen. Yemen is far away country and the Yemen crisis will be resolved sooner or later. But Pakistani involvement in this conundrum could result in Pakistan having to live with hostile neighbours on both sides of the border.

Trouble is that many of my country men are naïve and easily taken in by the propaganda. Let me remind my compatriots that Iran is our neighbour and good or bad, we have to live with it.

obviously we are going to make a blunder,nothing else.
this is going to be a biggest blunder in the world that muslims are going to kill each other.

pak afghan was a different thing but this is really a blunder
