Xinjiang attack masterminded by terrorists trained in Pakistan: China

Here is the difference.

Pakistan helps to extradite ETIM militants back to China whenever we ask. However, they do not provide this service for India, because India never took the time to be friends with Pakistan.

Which is why China is ranked as "low risk" on the Terrorism Risk Index, and India is ranked as "high risk".

SO it all depends on how you are with Pakistan... Agreed !! point registered.

On the other hand, China is a bhai mulk and also Turkey is a bhai mulk. So this dichotomoy of handling two bhai mulks and the brotherly sandwich situation will also be quite a predicament for Pakistan. It is okay to ignore the Balwaristan issue because there is no maibaap for those people but the Uighurs have the Turks! Interesting to see the tight ropewalk of the maiden on this one.

only the Nationalist (Gray Wolves) type groups in Turkiye support the Turkestan movement.

Turk-Sino relations used to be mired in mistrust and diplomatic spats. Things have changed, and in fact the Turks and Chinese are aligning themselves politically commercially and to some small degree, even militarily.

so that automatically debunks this fascinating theory of yours

whats interesting is that even though pakistan government is practically in the lap of china, still china had to engage in a media attack

are you obtuse? How do you view it as a media attack?

How is this even an attack on Pakistan? Your logic (lack thereof) is amusing at best,

Such public humiliation from another 'superpower' ''friend'' may not be new to pakistan

get some reading glasses, and try again

Yes, we know pakistan will act like an obedient ''friend''

and do everything to help china, as if they have a choice!

Pakistan will do what is right, and help the Chinese where and when we can to help solve this issue, as it is in both our interests. As you can see, such problems can be solved in civilized manner.

But ''civilized'' and ''indian'' dont work in the same sentence, so we ought not even go there. There are proper ways to solve such a problem and do investigation....then there's the ''indian version'' of it where empty words, empty threats (which we laugh at), and crying to the world for help -- are the order of the day.

China blames deadly Xinjiang attack on separatists
China says Muslim separatists trained in Pakistan were behind an attack which killed six civilians in the western region of Xinjiang on Sunday.

In an online statement, the local government said "armed terrorists" stormed a restaurant, killing two, then fatally stabbed four people outside.

Police responding to the attack shot dead five suspects.

The attack was part of a weekend of violence which left up to 18 people dead.

Kashgar is in west of Xinjiang region, which has a Muslim Uighur population and has seen regular outbreaks of ethnic tension, mainly triggered by the influx of Han Chinese.

In a statement the Pakistani foreign office has said that all "incidents of terrorism are deplorable" and that it is fully confident that the Chinese government will succeed in frustrating the "evil designs of... extremists and separatists, who constitute an evil force".

The statement said that Pakistan "will continue to extend its full co-operation and support to the Government of the People's Republic of China against the the separatist East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM).

Firearms and explosives
The Kashgar city government said suspects captured after the restaurant attack had admitted their leaders had joined the ETIM and been trained in making firearms and explosives.

The attackers followed "extremist religious ideology" and advocated "jihad", the statement said.

The government said four suspects had been shot dead at the scene and another died in hospital.

The Kashgar government's online statement did not mention Saturday's attack, which a Xinjiang government-run website said began when assailants hijacked a truck at traffic lights.

Tianshannet.com said two men stabbed the driver to death before driving the vehicle into bystanders.

They then got out of the vehicle and started attacking people at random, the report said.

It said the crowd turned on the assailants - killing one of them - and the second man was captured.

State-run news agency Xinhua said the attack had been preceded by two explosions.

Past violence
The weekend attacks were the second outbreak of violence in Xinjiang in a month.

On 18 July, several police officials and a number of civilians were killed in an attack on a police station in the city of Hotan.

Chinese officials blamed the attack on "terrorists" from the Uighur minority.

Uighur activists said the security forces had provoked clashes by opening fire on a peaceful demonstration.

According to China's most recent census, Xinjiang's largest population group are ethnic Uighurs, Muslims with strong cultural ties to Central Asia.

Our correspondent, Martin Patience, says many Uighurs are unhappy about what they say is the repressive rule of Beijing and are angered by the migration of the majority Han Chinese to the region.

In 2009, riots erupted in Xinjiang in which nearly 200 people died after tensions flared between the Uighurs and the Han.

But ''civilized'' and ''indian'' dont work in the same sentence.
This is the problem, you all have a prejudice that we are not civilized. social hazard and cirminal activities happen all over the world, you are talking as if all your country men are civilized and preach peace. have you not witnessed all the attrocities that is happening arround your country? and you accuse us of being not civilized.

Why there was no Jundullah attacking Iran before 2001?

Can you quote violent incidents in China before 2001 that pointed involvement of elements from Afghanistan/Pakistan?

You missed my point...There was no incident doesn't mean there was no issue....the issue is homegrown terror.....there might be outsiders who would love to exploit it for their own use but that doesn't mean the menace has been created by outsiders....Let me give you an example - Pak u-turn and role in WOT has pissed of many jihadi elements....This has turned them against Pak...That's why you see so many attacks post 9/11....Now we cannot say that all this is because of US...The issue was there...the moment you created trouble for them they created trouble for u...As far as China is concerned these attacks simply proves terrorism has no boundary...these pigs livelihood is spreading jihadi ideology...they will not leave any stones unturned to achieve it...irrespective of repercussions for Pakistan...

Lol....there are not as many Chinese arguing as Indians.......shows the mentality of Indians.

Anyway, what does the Chinese members have to say? Like what are the local news channels in China saying about this?

As if similar thread where the heat is on India Pakistani's don't debate...why sounding so kiddish when you know the stuff...

I'm sure the Pakistani authorities will track down and find the culprits linked to this atrocity. Pakistan has a long history of finding and deporting those wanted by China. It also regularly restricts the movements of Uyghurs within Pakistan and monitors them carefully.

Yes Chinese members in PDF are not arguing on the matter as they sang a tune of "Higher than mountains and deeper than Sea" friendship While we are arguing to realize "Crumbling cookie" between friends. Any prob with that?? Chinese supported you when OBL was killed no its time to watch reactions.

I don't understand how it is linked to Pakistan or Pakistan is behind these attacks. It's not like we told these people " welcome, please come into our country, launch attacks from here and earn us a bad name". These people are illegally entering and staying in Pakistan without the consent or support of GoP. Pakistan would be behind these attacks if a link could be established between the GoP or any of its institutions and the miscreants. If anything, the state of Pakistan is constantly battling the extremists regardless of their nationality or where they come from. A little gratitude and consideration instead of thankless bitching would do us and the world a ton of good.

Good to see the Indians respecting the thread and not swarming all over it in the pursuit of cheap political point scoring.

:disagree:

Feel free to point out where the "cookie is crumbling".

Can't you see the Pakistani/Chinese friendship is fast evaporating? The sheer numbers of Indians on this thread, expressing their concern, means the end is coming nigh.
