Think younus needs to retire from ODI and misbah after the world cup. I'd have preferred he retired early, but a captain change so near to wc is bad idea.

Also Ajmal needs to retire too. He's becoming very predictable.

Actually, his effectiveness will depend largely on the results of biomechanical analysis of his bowling action that he's currently subjected to. If his doosra is deemed illegal, then it will severely hamper his ability to pick wickets.

It's hard to say. This and upcoming 3 tours will decide who should go for wc. Pakistan hasn't played a series for a while.

I've never felt comfortable with either Murali's action or Ajmal's. But if the ICC has no problems with their actions, no point in cribbing about it. Better get on with how to play their variations.

He wore a special plaster on his elbow that limited the arm bend to within ICC limits and was still able to bowl all his variations. That's how he was cleared by the ICC.

But on surfaces that didn't offer much turn, he did seem to try harder, and bend his arm, than what could be called acceptable.

True that. Which is why I consider Warne the all-time great in spin. A very clean action, and yet capable of plenty of variations in turn, speed, line and flight.

And looks like Pakistan is headed for a win in the ODI currently in progress. Should be home easy given the position they are in right now.
