I been thinking this for some time, what if the Turks did not convert to Islam when they were gaining strength in Central Asia, later on to Anatolia but stayed as Tengrists or became Orthodox Christian's who would take over Constantinople, would you guys still be hated by Europeans,Greeks and other Balkan folks ?????

Yes they would be despised... another Poland or Romania - but there would be no problem accepting them into the EU

.
This is the craziest thing i have ever heard

Only Greeks do that, and i never take it as an insult.

maybe because you live in turkey you do not know.. mongol is used as a word like "ahole" a word to make fun of ppl

Religious hatred of Turks basically stems from Muslims vs Christians.

and it is deep in their mind I just remind of Martin luther the founder of protestants his deep antisemitism and antiturkism is one of their roots.. they used to scare their children with the turks that would get them if they are not good.. :)

I was expecting someone to bring the Turkic migration and their nature of pillaging multiple empires and small nations simultaneously during the times of Huns and the likes that happened thousand years before the advent of Islam but I’m suprised there’s not one post about it because I think the hatred also stems from it.

One thing I’ve learned from non-Muslim forums is that they will hate other Muslim ethnicities for no other reason than being Muslim but will write a long essay why they dislike Turkish people so clearly not just for being Muslim.

In short, Europe, West Asia and the Steppe have a history with the Turkic nation for thousands of years to the point where they’ve built ancient fortress and barriers that are all directly pointed at one direction and for one purpose.

That is not true. While we were secular, the west was acting more positive toward us. Remember, Turkey was the only non-christian member of NATO. They also accepted Turkey to the Customs Union and grant other rights with 1961 Ankara Agreement. They also requested for millions of Turkish guest-workers. Besides Turkey, they only accepted guest-workers from other European countries such as Italy and Spain. Since the biggest European nations are much more secular now, if we had continued to be a strictly secular country, I believe they would be much more embracing toward us.

That is also not true. These are only a handful of examples from history that we had allies in a war. Since the early times of Ottomans, Turks had no European ally while fighting more than one opponent in most of the cases. Most alliances between European countries were being established through marriages during that time. Since Ottomans did not have such a chance, they were the most lonely country in Europe for centuries. The situation was generally like this :D :

If Turks were still Tengrist today I dont think our war like ways would go.

Regardless of any religion the Turks followed the ways of war never died out but nowadays you have ignorant liberals and humanists trying to paint Tengrism as some sort of hippie religion of peace and stuff.

To all the people who believe this do you honestly think Atilla, Avars, Bulgars, Khazars, Gokturks, Genghis Khan, Sabutai and other badass Nomadic warriors were hippies???

My guess is they would still be consider to have 'Arab DNA'.

I make mention of this because Italians are not liked by neo-nazis in Europe because we are supposed to be all the product of Arabs raping Italian women. :omghaha: And this is so far from the truth, even Sicily (ruled by the Arabs) has very, very, very low Arab ancestry (and I am not talking about Middle Eastern admixture for nearly everyone in the Central to Eastern Med has migratory Bronze and Iron Age ancestry from the Greeks and Roman Empire). The Greeks came from just north of Iran and that gets picked up as Middle Eastern.

The Europeans are from the proto-Turks (R1) and despise Anatolian Turks (who are mainly Greek Muslims) for being Turks. :sarcastic::sarcastic:

The European far-right is comedy.

what do you think of Mussolini???

#Crusades

The muslims were a superpower and a superior people at that time(they were humble not stuck up like America for most part.)

The Europeans of the time were not considered civilised, they didn't know how to cook very well using spices and condiments etc. Reading and writing was also a big problem for Europeans. You can read about all this in a book called The House of Wisdom by Johnathan Lyons. The Europeans were at that time where the muslims are today. Lacking in education, technological progress, research and resources etc etc

Probably the reason behind low Muslim-Italian marriages.

I don't know what it is in having white skin that makes people feel superior. Maybe I don't have it that's why I don't understand.

they can't stand in sun

They are catholics.

Catholicism was already a false religion..... but with second Vatican and even more with Pope Francis it's been turned into a joke

I didn't know Turks are warlike. I don't think I've ever met a Turk. I didn't know there's such hatred against them.

Hatred of Turks, just like hatred of Pakistanis, is based on the fear of the West of being supplanted by strong Muslim empires.

In the infancy and self-awakening of the Western world during the Renaissance, great effort was made to hide or bury the achievements and accomplishments of Muslims due to this inferiority complex.

Demonization of Turks and Mughals (ancestors of Pakistanis) was done to degrade their status and make unappealing Islamic culture, as it was well known for Europeans (Esp British) to convert to Islam and adopting Islamic Culture. This was referred to the British as “turning Turk” or “going (Muslim) Indian.”

Even now, the West is exploiting a drawn out moment of weakness in the Muslim world to maintain its rule and subjugation of the world.

The know they can’t keep us down forever.
