In 1978 they "rescued" 30 hostages in Cyprus from terrorists but because they forgot to tell the Cypriots they were coming, They lost 15 of their own in a firefight with Cypriot National Guardsmen who thought they were more terrorists.


But it got even more hilarious.... ehm I mean worse

In 1985 they blasted their way onto a hijacked 737 at Malta with all their available explosives killing 20 passengers instantly. They then stormed the plane firing wildly and throwing hand grenades (In a highjacked plan !) . Passengers who fled were cut down on the tarmac having been mistaken for terrorists and were shot dead by snipers . 57 passengers died.

Agreed, his way of presentation may be wrong but atleast it's a very good find. Hilarious can be the fact that the civilians were more secured in the hands of terrorists than the special force formed to protect them.

Actually the first story is wrong, The murderers of a journalist close to the current Egyptian president at the time where to be handed over to the Egyptian authorities. However the plane which was suppose to got to Egypte was forced to turn back duo international pressure, The international communty didnt allow it so the Cypriot simply let a Egyptian C-130 Hercules fly over so THEY can take the murderers themself, Just to be sure the Egyptian send some special forces if the Cypriots refuse to hand them over. Most likely the result of confusion caused the accident.

Cool down. I dont find the death of those civilians funny, but the conduct of the TF 777.

Its the black irony that the passengers were safer in the hands of the terrorists.

And dont bring the beheading thing in here, mutilation of dead combatants is simply an act of cowardice.
