Good to see. I focus too intently on Pakistani politics that some things escape me. If the Pakistani flag has been featured on burj khalifa it is indeed a good thing. I have never seen it though. Please deal with your condescending tone. We might disagree-strongly but as I said that is not enough for me to hate you.

You're right, this place has more indian expats than locals. More so the Keralaites.

Indeed, Dubai has become the Center of world (as you said), but there's a lot of thought process that has gone behind it.
Their biggest success has been emirates and Etihad airways, which brings ppl to UAE and flies them out of here. As a result Tourism sector got a boast.
Beyond all this,being a little more liberal (in religious terms) has helped too.

I will wait for 2017 to pass,to see how Abudhabi fares.

If Pakistan actually gains more from GCC on that account then India I will make a U-turn and become biggest fan of GCC. Will somebody who has time please do this. Clear listed ledger account. Kemal Ataturk learnt this lesson the hard way back in early 20th century. Ottoman Armies of the Caliphate were at war with Western powers and these same Sand Arabs turned against them. Under Lawrence of Arabia - Arab tribes raided Ottoman Turkish supply lines that crippled their logistics resulting in defeat and Palestine being lost.
