Why has it become so difficult to find these people nowadays. He represents the true essence of a Pakistani

should I tell you a story where the Father refused to call his son a "Shaheed" who fought in the WOT?

he, I believe, is the Real Lion Heart...

it is easy to take the prize, but its really difficult to stand on principle and refuse it.

May his son RIP, & Allah bless his soul. I was a bit disappointed in the dad though, but it is wrong for me to judge him like that, he lost a son. Pakistan Zindabad :pakistan:

Well shame on such a father. he truly did not deserved the son. Good that Allah took away his son and gave him a place in heaven.

And shame on people who have such thinking.

TK, we shouldn't be so black and white. I'm sure making such a proclamation would not have been easy and there was a message and a purpose behind it.

Azaad nations, the truly azaad ones, have to at some point learn to honor such stinging differences that arise. It is a common mistake to judge dissent as disloyalty. This is a form of protest, and cannot be viewed in black and white terms. In some ways its a sacrifice, I'm sure for a father to say "My son died in vain" must have been a horrible thing to go through for mostly himself. But the purpose, the motivation and the sought end result must not be forgotten.

We started fighting this war, mostly because America was attacked. We mostly wanted to make the world safer for Americans. We should have fought terrorists since 1947 not from 2001, we would have been fighting to make this world safer for Pakistanis then. But now the situation is that a mission that was started to protect Americans has the Americans gutting our soldiers down. Imagine that. That is the reality the father faced.

Shame? His life doesn't make any sense now, his sons' death doesn't make any sense. What does he care about shame from now on. Do not mistake dissent for disloyalty.
