All the Banglas and indians will be happy.

That's was 60's?

Yes, why?

They were two nations isolated from the whole world, pariahs, at odds with the Anglo-American bloc, with the free democracies, with the social democracies of Scandinavia, with the people's democracies, with everyone, literally. They - the Chinese - were rampaging through their own country, killing their own leadership and whatever traces of social classes remained, holding the Little Red Book of Mao's Quotations and chanting an appropriate one as they vandalised an eight-hundred year old monastery. And the Albanians, then, as today, a tiny little wrinkle in the map of Europe ruled by a complete lunatic named Enver Hoxha, were as isolated in their own corner, because they made Red Yugoslavia look like Sweden, next to themselves. They and the Chinese were all-weather friends, their friendship as high as the mountains, as deep as the oceans (heard that elsewhere?)

One of the reasons why I excuse myself during some of these discussions about today's firm Chinese friendships, go off into a quiet corner and surrender to helpless laughter.

Is there any surprise that China will never leave Pakistan alone Or Pakistan will never desert China?

If anything both great nations are now joined at the hip... CPEC is not just gamechanger for Pak but many other important players.

Sino-Pak Axis is not interested in war of any kind.

Sino-Pak Friends have done so much to make war impossbile in the region. Future history will show this FACT.

I am just happy that apart from war-of-silly-words on PDF the real war will not materialise. Most happy for this...

Our focus is on building a new paradigm of mutual development and co-prosperity. War is so stupid and boring..

Time to build a new world...OBOR i.e. CPEC is the right way forward. Pakistan has lost many decades of development and only focusing of economy and social development with war footing is the true strategic focus of Pak state now.

All the rest is distraction... Pak state has acted wisely and with wisdom- did not fall into the elaborate trap set by the enemies.

Long Live Sino-Pak Friendship!!!

Good to hear China take up the reigns of Pak control; ever since USA ejected them', it's been aflounder, so may be this will bring much needed direction. As long as it doesn't make it yet another N.Korea!

China speaking in double meaning. Pakistan won't be left alone

Indeed , how they have fallen.

That was past, China bring up them from ashes and we don't have any doubt regarding with their honest friendship, putting here an example! Other day a couple come to my shop they were look like Chinese but my guess was might be Taiwanese or Vietnamese they were looking for a used " Japanese " car they asked me where you from I said Pakistan their attitude changed a big smile pop up on their faces and first word they said " oh Pakistan our brothers good friends " a normal Chinese without any pressure or intention think for us as friends and brother that's enough for me, let's see how their leadership come up when a real hard time come on us. And btw without asking I give them a huge price down as a gift of our friendship.
Peace.

Even if you take all the emotions out of Pak-China relations, both nations are intertwined in a peaceful coexistence that is not only beneficial but existential. The way uncle Sam is using India to corner China, the relations between China and Pakistan will grow only stronger. Pakistan's survival is China's survival too and vice-versa since after being zeroed at SCS, CPEC not only offers the best economic route for China to trade with ME, Europe and Africa, it is vital as USA is increasing its presence in SCS.

When you come to my age, you will realise several things.

First, that these friendships between people are friendships between people, authentic when they are unforced or massaged by state policy, spurious and fake when created by propaganda and brainwashing. Think about it calmly; what connection was there between the two nations other than in modern times and due to the political promiscuity created by the maxim,"My enemy's enemy is my friend"?

Second, that there are cycles in history. China, too, has her cycle; Pakistan has already shown her cycles, much shorter and based on different underpinnings than the Chinese. When the respective cycles of the two countries each enters a declining phase, when then?

Thirdly, that of the two nations involved in this Laila Majnoon affair, one of them is incredibly selfish; perhaps self-centred would be a better word. Their culture and their history is based on a steadfast inward gaze, interrupted from time to time to reaching out and swallowing a suitable neighbour. Fortunately, you are not a neighbour; Xinjiang was, Xizang was.

The way China is extracting the price for its 'friendship' is obvious in CPEC. Everything in CPEC is very costly and unprofitable for Pakistan. More Pakistan has less friends, more will China extract the price for the 'friendship' from Pakistan.

You keep telling yourself that. Clearly you have little idea as to what you're talking about. Considering that only a few of the projects have been completed so far, I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that CPEC is unprofitable for Pakistan given that it hasn't even been completed yet.

Look at the prices that China is quoting, that is extortion. Anyway, if Pakistanis are happy whom am I to question.
