Yes and they are more Bohras in India than there are in Pakistan, by a long shot. The Majority of Bohras worldwide are found in India. Their leader has to be made to declare something this harmful as illegal to make a difference.

Most Christians in recent times have understood that faith is fruitless, if it is forced upon someone with brute force or with (harsh) punishment looming ahead.

The covering of the head is mandatory you guys just say oh it cannot be forced and I agree but it does not change the fact that it IS MANDATORY in the Christian faith. Also in Western countries the Muslim woman choose to wear the head covering on their own accord, also look at the example of France when the head covering was banned woman came out to protest not men. You guys just like to say we force all our woman to wear it but if you actually bother to ask some of our woman how they feel about it you would learn that they are more than willing to do so.

So you guys need to back off when pestering us about this because it is quite frankly unfair.

Actually in older times, men also used to cover their head in Christianity while attending holy mass in Church.. Even now the head of the churches cover their head while offering holy mass.. Women cover their head with scarfs or saree while coming to church but we men don't do it..

Actually no Vsdoc you are completely mistaken, which is shocking considering you say you are Parsi. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always asked for modesty and in the Quran it asks the same. The practice of covering the hair for woman emerged because of the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) adopted this practice after the conquest of Persia. In Persia woman covering their heads was also a mandate and seen as respectful in society so the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) adopted this practice (the woman). Now since everyone emulates the traditions of him and his family they copy that tradition as well. Now in the Quran the specific verse call for modesty but the word translated means head covering as well so it became common place for woman to cover their heads. Now the new apologist Muslims will read that verse in a different interpretation where they will say that in that specific verse it talks about modesty without specifically mentioning the head but most scholars will take that as false because of the above meaning I wrote earlier.

Also it was never a regional Arab edict, the faith was and is still described as for all of Humanity so why would Muslims still proselytize if it wasn't?? Secondly you do not know the history of the faith, look up Salman the Persian he was one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the faith was always open to other races and in the final speech before the passing of our Prophet he made it clear when he said

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone."
