India will be more than happy to force your Army to divert its attention from the western border to the eastern one. But given the political situation in Pakistan, India wouldn't want to give your military a pretext for another military coup.

We go by the rules, it was decided in the meeting to call, India did its job, now we ll be more than happy to payback in kind, as has been mentioned in the news report. See unlike Pakistan we are proper functioning democracy, things are done according to the rules, not according to the whims and fancy of some "Jernail".

IMHO, India shouldn't bother trying to have talks or follow any diplomatic protocol when they are killing our soldiers and citizens......the only protocol we should follow is the protocol of firing back when fired upon.....

Worrying about their Army playing the victim card is futile because of the simple fact that we can't sit idle when they are killing us......
secondly, their Army will still play the victim card to their public whether we do anything or not......they'll kill their own citizens if needed to spread propaganda and gain sympathy.....they've done that before.

Nothing wrong with that, BSF has been responding. But before escalating the situation, India called up its counterparts as was decided, they decided not to entertain the calls, fair enough, now we can go about our business.

With Pakistan not responding to the repeated telephone calls from India, the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have been asked to respond to any incident of unprovoked firing from across the international border with a higher intensity.

“We are not going to tolerate any shelling on our civilians,” he said, adding that the BSF troops have been asked to deal with more instensity to the situation as and when the arises,” he said. “We have received clear orders from the top and these have been conveyed to te troops at ground level,” he said.

When asked about the steps being taken to defuse the situation, he said that that BSF was prepared to attend any flag meeting whenever it is called by Pakistan. However, the latter has not responded to any of our calls in the past.
