ISLAMABAD: During a visit to the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters in the federal capital on Saturday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed serious concern over recent statements made by the Indian political leadership, and said that all possible measures will be taken to counter "anti-Pakistan" acts.

Earlier, Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, in a shocking statement, asserted that terrorists have to be neutralised only through terrorists.

“India will take proactive steps to prevent a 26/11 type attack,” Press Trust of India had quoted him saying.

PM Nawaz and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif met with Director General ISI Major Rizwan Akhtar today, who briefed them on the internal and external security situation of the country as well as ongoing counter-terrorism operations.

The ongoing successful Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs), the number of terrorist attempts averted recently as well as terrorists networks busted across the country came under discussion during the meeting.

PM Nawaz lauded the efforts and achievements of the ISI in countering terrorist activities, and paid rich tributes to the officers and men of the agency who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.

“We are proud of our intelligence agency and they deserve due recognition and acknowledgement,” said PM Nawaz.

Nawaz said that terrorism and extremism are the biggest challenges to a secure and prosperous Pakistan. He showed his concern over actions of foreign intelligence agencies in destabilising the country.

Nawaz also emphasised the need for a more proactive and coordinated role of intelligence agencies to defeat all threats.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Adviser to PM on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant to PM on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi accompanied the PM.

Nawaz Sharif hasn't got the guts to challenge India.
Whatever has to be done,is only going to be done by PA and ISI.
You can't preach peace when the enemy is thirsty for your blood.

They are throwing grenades at us while our PM wants to send mangoes.

All Credit goes to Pak Army not to Thia ganji kabutri.

All credit goes to Civilians -- Bhutto for the vision, The Scientists for making it and Sharif for conducting the test.

People like Hamid Gul and past ISI agents are supporters of Terrorists like Taliban and Generals like Zia and Musharraf were lapdogs of America.

I was also thinking the same... A special seat was allocated to COAS where as pm is sharing his seat with some other minister..actually it should be other way round..the transition in pak hasn't yet completed fully.
