Wishlist: What systems/arms do you think Indian armed forces should go for?

.
First of all Indian army needs to be brave to fight a war.
Ah! Here come the trolls from Pakistan!! Pretty late in the day though! Where the dickens were you guys all this time? I can't digest my breakfast without the humour!!

And talking of bravery, the less said the better! Especially after that episode where 200 Pakistani soldiers including a colonel, three majors and some captains surrendered tamely to 20 militants in Waziristan without a fight!!! So much for Pak Army bravery!! :P When your army gets kidnapped you know that you deserve that "top failed state" award!!

Cheers!

These four could very well be bought instead of 40 nuclear capable fighters strategic command is proposing to buy.
These bombers can be tracked and destroyed easily unlike 40 fighters that can be scattered and they can be used for dedicated nuclear attack.

We need these more

What would I like to see in the near future? Here…

stealth-craft.jpg

Stealth craft with CLOAKING technology.

UCAV.jpg

Stealth Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle

corner-shot-launcher-470-0708.jpg

Corner Shot Grenade Launcher and rifle

AllTrnCV.jpg

All Terrain Combat Vehicle. Mercedes concept

US_Navy_Sea_Shadow_stealth_craft.jpg

The U.S. Navy Sea Shadow Surface Stealth craft

future-soldier.jpg

The future soldier's outfit. I believe our scientists are working on these concepts

And finally, down to the basics. A robot mule for troops operating in mountains. There'd be no need of tons of hay to be transported, no need of water for mules and no need for their grooming and maintenance! Here’s an interesting video. This was conceptualized by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and made by Boston Dynamics…

Cheers!

1. Well India need "Father of all bombs" like rus vaccum bomb with supersonic long range(2000+km) missile. need one stealth missile which can at last fly at supersonic with turbofan engine like tomahawk and blast on battle field destroy more area of enemy at battlefield.

2. One material safe against laser attacks.

3. Nimrod like missiles anti tank fifth generation cruse 50+km range. so from distance tanks can be distroyed. other is netra uav which identify enemy on mountain and nimrod by gps signals reach at target. LCA with pigasus like engine like sea harier. LCA stealth with 50 nimrods.

4. camouflage second high generation for safety against all visible lights for save against all visible camera, infrared, raddar etc.

5. Brahmos 30 ton category, body like prithvi with much more heavy weight bombs.

6. C-RAM like kasstans like battlefield safety units. against all top shell, artiliary projectiles, rockets mortars.

7. sixth gen avionics laser based light processors and fiber optic network.

8. griffen, fiber optics, lithium based battery units, carbon fiber, aero gel, griffen battery, etc.

9. Carbon aero gel on all ground based tanks &vehicles.

10. Lots dummy plastic vehicles remote operated tanks dummy etc.

11. mountain missiles which destroy bunkers by taking into consideration UAV photos GPS raddar using terrain guide so in situation like kargil destroy enemy from target locking. spike type missile destroy target on mountain save soldiars.

ORDER WISE

1. Most Important --

Three Layer of Anti Ballistic Shield with AAD-1,2, PDV/AAD / Aakash /etc. / Anti Satellite / Best Radars / Spy Satellite / etc.

2. Important --

India need 10 Squadrons of 4.5th Generation Air Craft like Typhoon/ Rafale / Sukhoi 30 MKI with Brahmos and then after 5-10 years 5th Generation (PAKFA /FGFA /AMCA)

3. Important

2 Nucleur Submarine + 2 Air Craft Carrier

4. Important

Brahmos-2, Nribhav, AGNI -3,5 (MIRV)

Once these 4 will be inducted. It would be world Class and enough to Defend and Retaliate with 2nd Strike Capability and later 3rd Capability too.

200 F-22 Raptors only!
Raptors? They were never in contention in the first place. At US $150 million a piece, even the US Air Force is finding it tough to buy them!! The high cost of the aircraft, a lack of clear air-to-air combat missions because of delays in the Russian and Chinese fifth generation fighter programs, a US ban on Raptor exports, and the ongoing development of the supposedly cheaper and more versatile F-35 resulted in calls to end F-22 production. In April 2009 the US Department of Defense proposed to cease placing new orders, subject to Congressional approval, for a final procurement tally of 187 Raptors. The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 was signed into law in October 2009 without funding for further F-22 production.

So, the Raptor was a non starter ab initio. However, the US of A did propose the F-35 to India, but the lead time from production to delivery was too great, ie, the first batch would have been available not before 2020.

And remember, the single seater stealth FGFA Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA is soon to be under production in Russia with the twin seater Indian version starting production soon at HAL. This aircraft is also 5th generation equal to if not better than the American F-22 Raptor. Here's a pic...

The IAF will procure 250 and keep it at that level. (50 Russian single seater versions will be procured direct from Russia in fly away condition. The remainder 200 twin seaters will be manufactured at HAL).

Cheers! :smokin:
