Army was going to select among 4 vehicles and you are saying they selected 2 out of 4 ? When did these orders were placed including Ashok Leyland LSV ?

I would rather have our armed forces personnel paid a good decent salary comparable with the best in the world,a good insurance plan for him and his family and better living conditions & terms of leave.

The normal infantry soldier is sadly the most neglected lot of the armed forces even though he carries the biggest burden. Its ironical that we can afford billion dollar war planes but not kevlar vests for our soldiers.

Just a wishlist mate.I just took the three Indian ones and not the foreign ones which were Iveco or Tatra Vectra or both I think, I am not sure which one exactly.OFB was also participating in this although I am not sure which vehicle they've bid for.

If the OFB LSV is Centre Right in this pic then I am against putting it in my wishlist.The AXE, TATA LSV and Ashok Leyland LSV are perfectly fine.The TATA LSV is the best in my opinion.

Although there are a quite a lot of changes to be made in this.

Well TATA LSV is certainly a very good option.

Would you be knowing what all off road vehicles the Army is using as of now?I know of Jonga's, 550 XDB's, Mahindra Commander and Windy 505.

2) Skyranger / Skyshield

This will be very effective against low flying cruise missiles and aircrafts. Its a next generation air defence gun and tested against cruise missiles and UAVs.

Recently Prasun Sengupta reported that IA went for Skyranger, that means IA didn't and will never do!

My wishlist for the navy besides INS Vikramaditya and IAC 1 would be:

A great combo for humanitarian missions in peace times, or landing operations in war times and very useful in anti piracy operations as well, because they can carry the same number of helicopters and commando forces as several IN Frigates, while they have a longer endurance and can cover a wider area.

Helicopters for the LHDs could be:

Naval Dhruvs in the light class -

Naval Ka 92 in the medium class -

Naval CH 53K in the heavy class -

Russia already offers us to join a helicopter co-development and the Ka 92 would be the perfect choice, because we need a medium class transport helicopter in the navy to replace older Sea King and Kamov helicopter and could use the same helicopter in IAF later as replacements for the the Mi 8 / 17 fleet. The only change I think would be necessary, is to delete the coax pusher rotor at the back and use 2 normal pusher rotors on each side of the airframe to integrate a ramp instead of the side doors.
