Willing to work with India for peace in S Asia: China

You can tell a lot about a person by the company he keeps. Birds of a feather, flock together. Look at China's allies in international forums. Pakistan and North Korea. Look at the countries with whom it has issues - India, USA, Japan, Taiwan - all relatively stable countries.

China has nearly all the friends, including the country you say, As for India, stability? You really do not know own country.

If you are friends with Japan, then you are freinds with India too. Then there is no need to work on any more issues in SA.

Come on, if you are going to just call India names in all your posts, then its no fun.

Just a post back you said US is fomenting trouble in Tibet, now you say you are friends with US. Make up your mind.

The only thing consistent about your posts is calling India names. Quit pls.

That did not come out right, let me rephrase that

Can you deny that?

I think your summary is quite fair.

For example, I do think the Chinese government tends to "needle" India for no reason at all.

The only thing I can say about that, is that it's hard to balance the needs of a strategic partner (Pakistan) with the needs of an Economic partner (India).

In conclusion, I agree with you. I think that China's role in South Asia should be less political.

I am looking forward to the development of relations between China and India, from this point of view, I do not agree with any of the Chinese government may not be conducive to bilateral relations action. But I was realistic, you really know the Indian government doing? I'm not sure. So, one-sided accusations are meaningless.

I did not say that the United States is China's friend, just a co-operation and competition. They did some things we do not want, and we did, this is the reality.

If Indian government is doing anything to create trouble in Tibet, particulaly violent trouble, then I also do not agree with that.

I also believe better relations are in BOTH countries interests, and I do hope for the best

The same with you, we really need is a practical attitude, an expectation of mutual friendship, otherwise, only ideeper and deeper in trouble .

Relatively stable. Read my post again. Sure - we have our issues - but nothing in the league of The Great Leap Forward or Tiananmen Square.

Need I remind you that it is a long time ago, you think that when the Partition of India, India do? India, the number of deaths of children because of starvation, the sum of 60 years, how much do you think? Before you like antiques, I suggest you go look at yourself.

Now how many civilians have died because for Indian violence in Kashmir ? Maoist? Other terrorists? Do you think this is stable?

That's history that contributed to the building of a nation though its unfortunate it has lead to a stable foundation China has today.

Seems that when faced with a current situation question you can only pull in the past to sidetrack the discussion.

Guys be consistent pls. I agree old issues should not be brought up, but when I brought up the latest JUD issue, you replied with the Tibet issues in which for decades India role has been in line with China's line.

Please follow the same standards you expect of others.

I agree.

Pls consider that all my comments in this thread are in response to and limited to this offer by China to play a role in South Asia only.

i have outmost respect for chinese peepz... I really don't understand why should they attack us or we attack them ? ? We lived in peace for thousands of years side by side...To be honest Its all hush hush in media to make something sensational ....

Thank you my friend.

China and India, as the two emerging economic superpowers of the world, have everything to gain from cooperation with each other.

(War is out of the question anyway, since both sides are nuclear powers).
