Will Turkey become the new Pakistan?

The comparison to Pakistan is flawed. Let's compare the following scenarios:

-- India supported LTTE to fight in Sri Lanka.
-- US supported Contras to fight in El Salvador
-- Pakistan supported AQ and others to fight in Afghanistan.
-- Turkey is supporting FSA and others to fight in Syria

The reason Pakistan stands out -- the reason it is paying the price -- is that Pakistan allowed its own population to get infected by the ideology of the fighters. It allowed the fighters to establish significant presence within Pakistan and allowed Pakistani citizens to fight alongside them.

If Turkey can avoid Pakistan's mistakes and keep Turkish citizens and territory uninfected, then it can avoid Pakistan's fate.

There will never be a civil war in Turkey unless if Erdogan destroys the Ataturk shrines and historical sites used to worship Ataturk namely the "Kemalist" that you will be brought down to their knees if you ever cross a line on Ataturk. If that so, it would be Kemalist/Socialist VS AKP/Democrate parties VS foreign Jihadist. That's one point.

Another point is the rising extremist in the region, if Erdogan ever gets toppled by the military again, you see Egypt and other countries being infiltrated once either civil war or a coup so there is a higher chance of Jihadi infiltration and army would be divided between Gulenist, Kemalist, AKP and others then civil war booms giving the opportunity for the Greeks, Kurds and Armenians to form a genocidal resistance to annex Turkey. That's the second point.

The third point of the increasing reports of Suuni Turkish soldiers are offering ISIS a safe haven despite receiving massive funds from the Gulf donors compared to the weak FSA allowed them to seek bribes suggest that there are extremist elements within the Turkish army so with the regional spillover in Lebanon and Iraq. It may happen in Turkey through the military's help secretly if FSA starts removing ISIS out of the borders where ISIS would seek revenge. This is one way for the Pakistani style Turkey.
