Cyprus had supplied 40 T-80 tanks to Ukraine in exchange for obtaining a similar number of Merkava tanks. After it had an unfortunate situation, Cyprus refused to sign a contract for it and is looking for another supplier.

Israel is reintroducing the Merkava 3 tank, which it had previously removed from service, into service again after equipping 48 tanks of it instead of what was destroyed by the Palestinians.
