Secondly, There is no such rule that nothing can be written on currency notes except on the image of Quaid-e-Azam.

I agree what u mean, I am actually saying we must not write on currency notes, but under extraordinary conditions where this Govt and Parliament is third class, like the one we are living in pakistan now....writing on notes is much better option to show hate and disgust for parliament and nawaz shariff, than resort to using VIOLENCE.

It was insane announcement by Maulvi sahab. He should be careful about the words he says. Already Pakistan has suffered massive losses due to musical concerts held by Khan sahab and threats being issued by Maulana sahab. Now destroy pieces of papers and force the workers of state bank to work extra for printing fresh notes to replace the abused currency

State bank excepts all kinds of damaged notes and replaces them with new ones. Why should these notes be treated differently? Why delegitimize them? Only because they have Go Nawaz Go written on them ?

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Sunday announced that ‘Go Nawaz Go’ currency note would not be accepted in the country.

According to State Bank officials, any bank will not accept the scribbled note with political slogans. It is illegal to write something on currency notes because it is a loss of state.

State Bank will issue the notice on tomorrow to inform the public.

State Bank confirmed its statement after Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri announced to start ‘Go Nawaz Go’ campaign on currency note.

• Why make it a big deal if someone writes on the currency as long as it is not intentionally defaced. I know writing "Go Obama Go" wont render valueless the dollar bill.... our govt. people act so paranoid.

In the US, depending on what is written on it, the bill/note might be taken out of circulation. The store/bank lays the note aside as damaged and it would get swapped out by the bank back to the federal reserve, where it would be destroyed. It would probably be accepted at most locations however. You're most likely to run into trouble at a small privately held shop who's owner dislikes your sentiment - and then it would be more him refusing to do business with you than refusing the note, per say.

I've never seen political slogans on a dollar bill that I recall. I don't think I've ever seen a bill larger than a $1 bill defaced at all, but you will see $1s with scribbles on them. Generally make no sense unless the note was to you personally.

Politicians and officials skim the nation revenues for themselves and give the remaining for public use.

In Pakistan
Politicians and officials skim but luckily they do not skim for themselves, the skimmed portion is given for public use and the “left over” 90-95% is shared among the politicians and officials themselves.

And do you think they try to increases the revenues so that they can spend more on public? Of course not, they increase the revenues so that they can get more of the “left-over”

We are supposedly an Islamic country and we should supposedly be having one of the best standards of living for the common man and the nation, as one hadith says, like for your brother hat you like for yourselves. Our politicians like to have the best education, health services, security, well being and health for their family members, but what did they do in this regards for the common man.

Our so called Muslim politicians just by implementing one hadith can change the destiny of the nation imagine what would happen if they work as per other hadiths as well.
