You really don't know the rest of the Indians, your perception is majorly base on your time based on this forum with 47,000 members, take your pick on number of Indians on various forums along with this and then put 1.2 billion people figure.

So no one gives a rat's a$$ about China as there are way much bigger problem for them than China. Problem with China is in political and defense circle and few bordering states, for rest, they don't even have time to think about word China.

War between China and India means danger to lives of 2.5 billion people and this war may become danger to entire human population if it goes out of control.

Disputes will be there as one nation won't back down, negotiations is the only way out.

If they suddenly stop ties with us especially economic, look at the loss their companies will have and it will be god send for companies of west. If Lenovo stops supplying, HP,Apple, Toshiba, Dell etc. will fill the void created in demand and Lenovo will loose in millions. Same is with Huwaie. and numerous case. If India stops any sell of product Made in China, both the economies will suffer along with Western one in this case. Indian rural class is the major market for Chinese cheap mobile phones. Indian middle class is major market for their emerging electronic companies etc.

No one wants to loose share of 450 million total market potential as middle class and remember Chinese are very intelligent businessmen. People will carry out demonstration and what not, govt. will move very slowly if they decide to break the ties.

Besides all this another reason for not going to war is that ' Cheeni Mehngi Ho Jayegi ".

Why would we want war with you ? You are our trade partner will billions of dollars worth exchange and the trade deficit is India's

Our focus is increasing our economic strength and making it as our weapon just like you did. Once you reached to good economic condition , you poured billions in every field science, technology, sports, entertainment, defense, education etc.

You bought land and resource mines all over Africa and other parts of the world, invested heavily in other countries, made them customers of your manufacturing based economy and depended on you, used billions as aid to get strategic advantage.

We just want to do the same and we are doing fine now but not to your level just slowly.

India needs China more than China needs India. But don't think China would stop having ties in few months. It would be mutually bad for our economies and regional stability.

For Bolded part you are absolutely WRONG. At current senario China needs India to stay neutral if not friendly. Count the number of countries it messing with. And for world politics only TRADE is not the measure to count reliance.
If you see the change in China's behaviour in last two years ( and it don't include challenged buddy ) china understand that tension between India-China only push India to USA. And thats exactly they don't want.
Coming on trade Indian economy is not a manufacturing economy. India is more of Service sector. China is manufacturing economy so they need bigger markets like India. So case is clear India and china do need each other but India can live with China being hostile but right now china won't afford it. Think about US marine base in AP. what will be the reaction ( yes I know India never allowed Forgin milletry base on its soil and too don't like US in India but hey there always a first time for everything )
In last few day Chinese actually convey their stance about Japan to India. Did it ever happen before ???

Exactly. Either no war or a full scale war. And both Nations came off from dust so it is highly unlikely that they choose war over peace
