Why was Pakistan needed for Indian Muslims?

Pakistan exists so we can practice our religion freely. Our founder Jinnah foresaw a muslim miniority could never truly live as equal in a majority hindu state. I understand, at times some of us may second guess the decision of creating Pakistan when dealing with the many problems we face ( 90% of which are caused by India, directly or indirectly).
