Western hollywood add a lot of racist items in 300 .
Xerxes was not like this .He was just another Persian .But in 300 rise of empire
,they have been add this soundtrack and that is just glorious like Achamenid empire
@Zibago
Xerxes by no stretch of the imagination was "just another Persian" my friend.
He conquered land mass near equal to Alexander.
Cheers, Doc
So you are saying that he was look like that eightfoot drag queen as depicted in 300 rise of empire?
Cyrus was the real deal not Xerxes .
No that's not what I was saying.
Cyrus was just one. There were many.
3000+ years of military conquest and world dominance was not down to just one man.
Cheers, Doc
Cyrus the Great .He established the great Achemenid Empire .
The glory of Persians started from there ,his followers was also great but so much resources and richness made them incompetable and suffered massive defeat under the hands of Alexander .
They were way off on one big thing the Persian didnt practice slavery under Xerxes but Greece was built on slavery it was because of the government system Persian introduced that they laid foundations of the great Roman Empire but no according to Hollywood non-white=savagesWestern hollywood add a lot of racist items in 300 .
The issue is that Western historians take that (Alexander) as a starting point. Whereas that was actually the fag end, the peak and then the fall of the Persian dynasties.
As I mentioned, there is a very long history of Persian dynasties that precedes that. Mithraic as well as Zoroastrian, under whom Zoroastrianism became a major world religion, and the world's oldest monotheistic one.
Cheers, Doc
@SrNair the movie itself is based on the Battle of Thermopylae.
Which happened in 478 BC.
Cheers, Doc
SpartansI know where King Leaonidas and his 300 defended the Greece .
Greeks and Romans were also not that bad .They had good fighters ,later Arabs also tasted it .Xerxes didnt have slaves but his Army was very diversified due to the vastness of the empire .They were way off on one big thing the Persian didnt practice slavery under Xerxes but Greece was built on slavery it was because of the government system Persian introduced that they laid foundations of the great Roman Empire but no according to Hollywood non-white=savages
