Why Pakistan Said No to King Salman of KSA

Do you see any logical point in airstrikes considering there are always casualties(such is the case , just the other day news of many children dying came up )?
Did they engage Houtis for talk or something before this operation ?
Will the Saudis do a ground operation ? @Daneshmand , any news coming up , its not going to be anywhere near easy if they are .

Of course not. The airstrikes are there to cover up for the inferiority complex of Saudis in military affairs. The only thing, they will achieve is making Yemen more anti-Saudi.

There was no talk before the operation, but yesterday @Ceylal told me Algeria might invite both sides to Algeria for talks. There are also some Turkish and Iranian peace plans, which were announced yesterday. But these all seem to be in early stages. If Algerian plan goes through, in my opinion, that has the most chance to succeed since Algeria is neutral in this as wells has much experience in such mediation.

I do not think Saudis will do a ground op. Maybe a border incursion to save face but not a ground op with the goal of creating a pro-Saudi regime in Yemen. This is simply beyond the capability of Saudis. That is why they wanted Pakistan to do it for them.

True .

The sooner the better .

That figures . I still think they might be thinking about a ground operation .

Still would not matter. Look at history.

There is not even one example in modern military history wherein a conventional force has been able to defeat an armed insurgency on a foreign land.

Even if Saudis do a ground op. they will need to change history in order to be victorious. USSR failed. US failed. Others failed to change history. IMHO, Saudis will fail too.

True , guerrilla warfare is not easy to tackle .

You can go on and believe your fairy tales. I would rather stay with facts.

I guess, you did not read my post at all. I had said, modern military history. Light automatic weapons changed the world. Specially the AK series.

As for proxy nonsense, well, this is no more a proxy war. KSA is itself involved now.

A little humility on your side, will save your day. You do not need to bring in irrelevant instances from history to justify yourself.

British crushing the insurgency in Malaysia was in the 1950s
