What's new

Why Pak Army remained silent when our children were being killed ?

Why couldn't we offer an alternative to the US like a ground operation while we knew that our absence in the area is giving them a free liscence to kill ? We knew that if they'll find one suspected target, they won't care if a dozen innocents get killed in the strike.
When innocent kids got killed within our territory (APS Pesh),we wouldn't stop mourning. When innocent kids got killed within our territory in which we had lost control (Bajaur drone strike),we wouldn't give two hoots about it.
The blood of the kids of Bajaur was as sacred as that of the APS kids.
Sir,I'm afraid our justifications are weightless.

We did react, we got the entire territory back, at great cost to ourselves. We couldn't have done it at the snap of the fingers, it was bound to take time, which it did however, we wrestled control of those territories away from the militants and that's how drone strikes became a thing of the past.

Everybody who visits this forum frequently might know that I'm not an anti army element and I certainly don't like to bash Pak army needlessly so this is a serious question.
From 2003 till 2013,the Americans carried out free drone strikes in Pakistan. We all know that the majority of the people killed were innocent civilians.I won't go intp official or unofficial count of the deceased.
Why was this being allowed to happen? We must not fool ourselves by thinking that all was happening at the consent of the civilian govt and the Army was helpless.Everybody knows the might of Pak Army inside Pakistan.I can't bring myself to think that Americans were doing this without our consent. They don't have the fortitude to poke and finger us like that. They could never risk an escalation with Pakistan while they were trapped in Afg.
We can't give this idea of collateral damage to ourselves. There is should be no such thing as collateral damage.
The blood of a Muslim is more scared in the sight of Allah than the Kaa'ba.
We know that many officers were deeply frustated at the drone strikes. Why would they be frustated if the strikes were only picking out militants ?
What was the wisdom in the Army's hierarchy being silent ? What kind of wisdom permits letting your people being bombed ?
So,kis kay hath pay apnon ka lahoo talash kia jay ?
We don't come to this forum for singing praises to our Army and country only,we discuss things here.I will be disappointed if the mods block this thread as I don't see myself violating any rules and I know that this is not Bharat Rakshak.
you know what?
this is the question people of Sawat also ask where there were no drone strikes. when a normal twon square was changed into Khuni Chouk , executing not only men but women as well.

what drones have done is a tragedy, no doubt..
Panga nahi lena tha na.. why did these people allow all thugs, rapists and rejects from across the globe to assemble and plan attacks on the entire world?

Major General Ghayur Mehmood delivered a briefing "Myths and rumours about US predator strikes" in Miramshah. He said that most of those who were killed by the drone strikes were Al-qaeda and Taliban terrorists. Military's official paper on the attacks till 7 March 2011 said that between 2007 and 2011 about 164 predator strikes had been carried out and over 964 terrorists had been killed. Those killed included 793 locals and 171 foreigners. The foreigners included Arabs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Chechens, Filipinos and Moroccans
Sherazi, Zahir Shah (9 March 2011). "Most of those killed in drone attacks were terrorists: military". Dawn. Retrieved 16 December 2011.

On 9 December 2011, Pakistan's Army Chief Ashfaq Parvez Kayani issued a directive to shoot down US drones. A senior Pakistani military official said, "Any object entering into our air space, including U.S. drones, will be treated as hostile and be shot down.

Pakistan says U.S. drones in its air space will be shot down". 10 December 2011. Retrieved 29 December 2011

Many drone strikes after the cool down period in the 2012's were in cooperation.

Answer is simple. america is the most powerful military nation on earth whilst we are weak. That's why Pakistan's main concern should be in becoming a high tech military superpower like israel so no foreigners can mess with us. You may also ask why did america invaded Iraq and Afghanistan but not Pakistan even though we were also on the neo con death list of nations? It's because Pakistan is a nuclear weapons state. It's because we are a pro-Muslim nation of 200 million people who are anti-American imperialism with many battle hardened militants armed with high tech conventional weapons. If the americans thought Iraq was bad than Pakistan would literally be 10 times worst. Although the americans would destroy Pakistan, an invading american army would face massive and catasrophic losses that they would deem unacceptable for anything gained.

You underestimate the yankees and forget the Indians.

Many came through Afghanistan. Some might have come through airports too.
And how did those Arabs and Africans get to Afghanistan? Not through Iran, not through China, and not through the Soviet Union. Those Arabs and Africans got into Afghanistan through Pakistan with the assistance of Pakistan Army and ISI.

The thing is when you want to remain free, don't want law of the land applied to you then you should be ready for drones. It isn't about terrorism only. We all know what used to happen in "ilaqa e ghair" even before 9/11.
That land has always been free. The only thing is that after 9/11 Pakistan Army and ISI wanted to disassociate itself from its own pet extremists whom it once used to gain strategic depth in Afghanistan.

Tell me this is Army's fault, or is it US drone.
5 newly build schools were destroyed in FATA since Army gave charge back to locals.
Kabiali want's to live in stone-age. Even before 9/11, their (elaqa-e- ghair) total economy was based on opium, stolen cars and cross border smuggling. When they get bombed for harboring terrorist, they cry muslim and innocent.

Well when IK supported the lawyer who was investigating drone strike cases in Pakistan ....guess what kind of response he got from his own people ...You can actually hear them echoing it still...

Taliban Khan...That is what you are called when you give 2 hoots about such cases in your own area!

As for US...when you take the amount of loans and whatnot.....it all comes with strings attached half of which says bow to America....whatever it says and does follow and no questions asked!

Tell the govt to stop begging for money and stand on our own feet...if they have any...

Lastly, our army did respond, SOME of the cases were opened and investigated but UNFORTUNATELY, some of the reports were prob altered - THAT is how America was able to convince the world they were not blind and killing bad guys when in reality the first few drones couldnt tell faces...just body heat and some shadow structure....whom they always assume to be terrorist....and so many "reports" of innocent people killed were passed off as terrorists killed...

This led to many actually becoming terrorists to avenge their loved ones....coz the few who stood up for them were always called terrorist khan anyway....

If you think this is conspiracy read reports by soo many researchers in the field of psychology as well as those who deal with war and terrorism....Many will tell you how this blind killing has actually recruited more terrorists!

Tell me this is Army's fault, or is it US drone.
1 picture does no justice...It doesnt deny that US drones didnt kill innocents! They did...it would be nothing but stupid to deny even they admit how much visual they had in the first few drones they "tested" in middle east (esp Jordan) and Pakistan! we know this from various sources! Its just they downplayed the numbers!

Panga nahi lena tha na.. why did these people allow all thugs, rapists and rejects from across the globe to assemble and plan attacks on the entire world?
Why?

Why didnt the govt do its job?
govt jumps in bed with America and we get Reymonds running around how sure are you no Davis Raymonds ran around in Swat?
Sure alot of tribal bs happens there, but does that justify opening our territory to foreigners coming in to tell us who should die and who should live? Firouniyat kaim ker kay you ask why people trust some who told them they will take revenge for the "murder" of their loved ones?

Had the govt balls to prosecute or even leak enough evidence that INNOCENTS were dying in Pakistan .....the number of "trouble" we g against day in and out would have be lower!

Had the govt balls to say no, stop, out of my house to America during cold war alot of things would have been different!

Most people are still in some setback timeline where blaming Zia for every ill gives them satisfaction when everything they are blaming on Zia, they are actually doing it now in this century!

You give access to foreigners on your land....................... it doesnt take any expert to figure out why Africa hasnt progressed since colonial periods!!

And you calling him Taliban Khan proved my point! I rest my case!

Not at all. Just emphasizing the fact that the americans usually attack and invade ultra weak nations who have virtually 0 capacity to fight back. That's what's been happening the last 26 years.
