That is not right. It is very much allowed in Advaita Vedanta. Shankara the author of Advaita Vedanta also wrote Bhaja Govindam, an ode to Krishna. He would not do that if Advaita Vedanta prohibited idolatory.

Maybe if you read a little bit more you would not be prone to make such gaffes. The "beef" exported by India is carabeef. I.e. buffalo meat. Buffalo meat is not covered by any ban as far as I know of and nor are the Hindus demanding it. Also for all the misinformation spread about beef being the most favorite meat of Indians you rarely see an eatery selling beef in India except in the Muslim areas or Muslim restaurants. Indian meat consumption per capita still is a paltry 5 kg per annum. Of that bulk of the "meat" comes from chicken and fish consumption with beef being way low down the line.

You missed the point. He is not making an argument against all meat and neither claiming that Hindus never ate meat, but just talking about beef. Hindus have proscription against beef.

If that was true, Hinduism would not have disappeared from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, cambodia, etc.

Hinduism is more fragile than people give it credit for. Only India provides it with political patronage that helps sustain Hinduism. When that vanishes, you can bet yoga will disappear too.

All that will remain is the physical fitness part of yoga. Its essence will be lost forever.

Not really. No one expects Hinduism or Hindus to survive in either of the two country. Any criticism is perfunctory and knee jerk.

In Hinduism it is treated as a subject that is part of the inherent value system of Hinduism a.k.a Dharma. Rat's and Snakes are not domestic animals under the protection of Hindus.

Please do not even compare Advaita Vedanta with Islam. The concepts are entirely different. Way different.
