You too the example of other faith because you wanted to understand Hinduism better w.r.t other faiths. You were more comfortable with the tenets of other faiths and the terminology of other faiths. e.g blasphemy.
You can be a atheist and still be a hindu, only you still have to follow dharma and live as per dharma.
Which means you do not have to kill cows just because you think god told you so, you do not kill a cow because it is unethical and immoral to do so.
But if you are a atheist and still kill a milch cow and worse, eat it, you are certainly not part of Hindu society. You become a out caste.
I do think that a ban is just like blasphemy in other faiths.
Now you are defining do and donts of karma. What is your Karma? is the question every human being is being asked and try to find out.
Yeah. I have seen this plenty in both Bengalis and the Secular mallus here. Their understanding of Hinduism is entirely based on their understanding of Christianity and Islam. They simply have no clue about Hinduism. Nor the intelligence to grasp it.
Now you sound exactly like the mulla brigade, that you do not know the faith, learn it...our way lead to the truth.
