So why is the cow not protected in the N.E ?

Firstly, they had a large tribal population, hunters/gathers kind. Another is the hold of communism over those states. WB was a big influence on them and you can see the influence of WB commie thinking in Assam and other states there too.

So why is the cow not protected in the N.E ?

Thank you, I am a mallu too.

I know. Surprised you did not figure me out. :D

I

How dear? I was only pointing at the logical fallacy of your argument which claims since there is no explicit word as banned in Hinduism, anything and everything goes.
Then first ban those babas who roam without dress, eating human flesh, smoking weed. I think those are to be banned first..right?

And I stand by my word, it is your karma not what you eat and drink as per Hinduism. I once explained here about Lord Krisha slaughtering a cow once.

Those babas are outcastes. Meaning they are out of the societal structure and hence have nothing to do with following societal norms and rules and obligations. Are you saying that Kerala Hindus are also out of societal norms and outcastes? Next, karma is not some esoteric thing which will happen only in the future and in some ephemeral plane. Everything happens on Earth only. So you bad Karma affects this country, its ecology, its environment, its economy, its sociology, its history.

I made that Murder rape example only as an exercise in logic, the fact is Scriptures do Ban Rape and Murder.

There are strict punishment mentioned in the Vedas for those who commit murder.

But in RockstarIN case it was pretty clear that his understanding of Hinduism came from comparing it with Abrahamic religions and hence his reference points became those as well. Anything he understood about Hinduism was measured against the Abrahamic religions and an hasty conclusion was arrived at.

What out caste? now you are twisting the facts. they are also hindus and sons of India. As per they law there is no outcastes. We do underatand their way of life and do not 'ban' it. The same way accept others too. Or you will declare is as ahmedis in Hinduism?

Then why does the LAW provide "Reservation' to the out castes ? :cheesy: ........... another logical fallacy.

Bought up outside Kerala?
I do not entertain personal questions. Stick to the topic.

I took examples of other faiths only to show that you are going 'that' way! ban...blasphemy etc. It is not known In this faith and it is said that being an etheist or believer of other faith, you can he an 'hindu' too

.

Now you brought up reservation, not answering what I wrote.

And FYI , reservation should have only for few years as per the constitution, but politicians took it to another level.

I'm not interested to know you personal side but the way you speak is not the one who brought up in Kerala.

You took the example of other faith because you wanted to understand Hinduism better w.r.t other faiths. You were more comfortable with the tenets of other faiths and the terminology of other faiths. e.g blasphemy.

You can be a atheist and still be a hindu, only you still have to follow dharma and live as per dharma.

Which means you do not have to kill cows just because you think god told you so, you do not kill a cow because it is unethical and immoral to do so.

But if you are a atheist and still kill a milch cow and worse, eat it, you are certainly not part of Hindu society. You become a out caste.

They are outcastes. Not in a derogatory sense. Castes were the structure on which the society was based. It was an instrument for organizing society. Those who did not wish to be part of the society, as in marriage, employment, or other societal functions, opted out and hence became beyond castes, if you prefer that term. So societal norms do not apply to them. This is true of all saints, rishis, etc etc.

Reservations are provided by the Law for "out castes". Which means it is recognized by the LAW. It was in response to what you said about the Law not recognizing "out castes". What is so confusing about this ?

Yeah. I have seen this plenty in both Bengalis and the Secular mallus here. Their understanding of Hinduism is entirely based on their understanding of Christianity and Islam. They simply have no clue about Hinduism. Nor the intelligence to grasp it.
