I am an Indian muslim to represent muslims man! And you need to be more sensible. In India,the number of people in the major religions are too high to classify them on the basis of religions. Like,hindu brahmins are supposed to be in the general catagory,supposed to be doing good without reservations. But in some areas,there are brahmins who are really in dire poverty. Worst cases,they loose their fair opportunities just because of reservations. You have been advocating for muslim reservations,I have been pushed back in the line just because the guys from SC/ST got ahead of me because they had more priority in reservations. I have been receiving per year Rs 25000/- in minority scholarship for my Engg.education,which to be honest,I have no fair need,but at the same time some of my friends who actually needs financial help isn't getting it just because they are in the wrong "category"! Do you think its fair? IMO,its time we scrap these religion and caste based reservations,and launch merit based reservations.

In certain states there are categories like "Backward Muslims" which gets reservation in Educational institution & there is also something called "Minority scholarship" already explained by acetophenol.

Yes,as of now reservations have nothing to do with economic conditions,and thats where its wrong. Reservations must be based on the economic condition and merit of the individual and not religion. I disagree heavily with your post and thinks either you are too dumb or a troll.

Muslim community is the most discriminated and backward community. There is no doubt we need 50% reservations and other assistance. Most of the Muslims think the same. Only communal people like you have a problem with that.
