Sure, but didn't the Indian supreme court recently rule that homosexuality is illegal in India?

So it would have political implications, in India at least.

Its illegal, but it aint enforced you see. By this logic, there should be atleast 6 pairs in jails, foreign embassy officials I mean.
But yes, he will lose out on the votes, if he is gay . It is still a taboo in a traditional India.
