One question why does it seem that women protesting the right to wear the Hijab are always wearing a Niqab?

Wear a Hijab a scarf or whatever the bit of a a sari that goes over the head i dont care come at me with your face covered in baggy clothes i get cautious.

ther eis no problem with hijab.. only with burqa. scarf is ok. but not covering the face.
otherwise we will never know who it is. will give rise to lot of social tension.

the whole concept came about because mohammad said that protect your wives and daughters from outsiders and make them live in a haram. thats why.. aah.
in those days a lot of abduciton of women used to happen and that culture was seen when muslims went out of arabia. the first thing they did was to rape and abduct women for sexual usage. such is the problem and burqa was born out of these negative sentiments. thats why it is a problem

Bravo, people now believe that you are open minded, free and highly educated person. Now seriously, This is not how it works to look like this Mosa. I mean, how could you? If it was given to people to believe in whatever they want, then we would have thousands of religions based on myths. I am sorry, but this is called Niffaq.

Man i dont realy know what is going on with Mosa. he is a modern educated guys but he is always in odds with religious people with no regards to our community's belief, tradition, culture relativism, customs and Islamic ethics/obligation . I do agree with him that some members of the Hai'ah need some rehabilitation:D however being secular doesn't mean you violate/bash conservative. he is probably mixing up in b/t Modernization and westernization. I am a liberal conservative guy who is trying to fulfill the short coming in the society as much as I could fixing some medieval Ideas that might be an obstacle challenging the progress going on in KSA bearing in mind all the social norms.

I firmly believe that these decisions pertaining to a hijab or something similar on an individualistic or collective level must come from the women themselves instead of men imposing their own will for it will never stick and the brewing resentment would be always there. Let the women decide and let us stand by to offer our support if need be.

Ironic you mention that. The book of Sharia which contains all the discriminations against women including wearing of the Hijab was written only by men.

Why is My Hijab, Your Problem? | My Bit for Change

First of all. I have nothing against Islam. I also do not have any problem when any women wear a simple head scarf.

But when people start cover their face or cover themselves from head to toe in my hot and humid country it affect me. I have seen angry stares at these people. It DOES have an effect on surrounding people. When you cover yourself from head to toe you are also send a message to people around you.
This also does little to promote social integration between people of different race and culture as in Malaysia.

In my company covering your face is forbidden and if you refuse to remove it you will be sack ! Our PM wife do not wear any scarf. Marina Mahathir (Sisters in Islam) who fight for women rights do not wear any scarf. The holy Quran do not require you to wear it either.

As Mahathir once said. No amount of “VISUAL / APPEARANCE” religious clothes will make you a better Muslim.

I dont think they gave two hoots about it, as long as it stayed in Afghanistan.

You think wrong.... Whole western media was on them because of this thing.... remember the journalist who wore burqa and then taunted Taliban minister when he was on visit to (US i think)......

You think your kind who never said Ne Mutlu Türküm Diyene in their entire life and hates Turkishness hoping to replace it with ummet have any right as if you are the owners of this country? You know your kind have countless names among Turkish youth in here but a Turk? NO NO NO dont even think that for a second wahabi kırması

FIRST OF ALL MY VIEWS ON HIJAB SO YOU UNDERSTAND THEM

"NO ONE SHOULD BE FORCED TO EITHER REMOVE OR PUT ON HIJAB"

NOW REPLY TO YOUR PATHETIC TRY AT PERSONAL ATTACK:

You prick, I have paid my dues, and I am a Turkish national from long time (WHEN TURKIYE WAS A DIRT POOR COUNTRY - WHEN EVERYONE HAD TO MAKE A LINE TO GET BREAD --- WHEN THERE WAS NO ELECTRICITY ----- WHEN THERE WAS NO SUGAR ---- WHEN TECHNOLOGICALLY YOU WERE SOMALIA ---- WHEN YOU HAD ONE TV CHANNEL)! Who are you by the way, a "Syrian" Turk, a "Tajik" Turk, an "Azeri" Turk" or you migrated from --- Kars --- Van ---- Mardin --- Gaziantep ---- Iskenderoon -- Adana ---- Mersin??? If you are, means you are an ARAB, not a Turk. FYI my mom is REAL BLOOD TURKISH (NOT: ARABIZED TURK / PKK TURK)!!!!

I know your PM, and his family intimately. I know all his side ventures from the time of Istanbul Belediye till date! Don't ever lecture me on the piety of what has been going on since the times of Necmettin Erbakan under the "Veil", from Ulus in Ankara to dark corners of small meeting rooms in Sinop.

WTF ----- Firstly why don't you get out of Denmark? Your retarded values are absolutely incompatible with Danish cultural and personal values!

I bet I wield more power with every king maker in Turkey than you! Go **** yourself now! :pop:

"Ne Mutlu Türküm Diyene"

Do you want me to open more dirty laundry?????????

NOTE TO ALL OTHERS: This is what happens when fundamentalists taste power for the first time, they all of a sudden develop fangs! Beware of the mad-dogs....

. .
I thought you were a pathan? Werent you saying you grandmom knew mullah omer or something?
Dad side! And no... when did I say that? I said from the same tribal belt... everyone knows everyone there.... small population (Wazirs/Mehsuds/Haqqanis/Gilanis/Salman-Khel)!

By the way, there are 24 Pathan Turks (that I know of), living in Turkey at the moment. 14 in Istanbul, 6 in Izmir and 4 in Ankara.
