Arable land can't compare to oil/mineral exports in earning money. There is enough food to feed all, but money is required for everything else. India's main exports are processed goods and services. Africa's main exports are natural resources. How is it comparable?

Africa also have industries, like in South Africa, Tunisia, blabla. Of course different country/continents have different adavantages and disadvantages. If you argue two entities are not comparable because they are different, then there will be no comparison for most things. However, in the globalization era, comparison ia unavoidable. China is different from India in many aspects, the US is different from China in many aspects, by your logic, why the world is comparing China with US or India?

India is performing poorly, compared to Africa, Try to face to it.
