Taking note from a worried Pakistani poster, I have to ask our neighbors some serious questions and it does belong to foreign relations:

India is supposed to be the largest economy of the future.

A self proclaimed potential super power.

Now if I look at their media and their govt officials, the things they are doing, even I seriously feel embarrased.

- All those tales of inter galactic airplanes from none other than the "Harvard educated" minister
- Hanuman army claims by none other than a graduate from a very prestigious institute IIT, the DM Manohar
- All those cheap selfies and hugs of desparate Modi
- The "Sir G Kal" strikes dram
- Being super power in 2012

The list is virtually so long that I can't even put it in one thread.

I want to ask very seriously from our Indian neighbors, don't they feel one bit embarrassed by all these stupid acts? Or is it something that amuses them and hence politicans and media have found another way to keep the whole Indian nation occupied (like other Western nations do with Soccer etc)?

Is India supposed to the largest economy of the future ??
I do not know. We are in the top three for sure. beyond that there is nothing to say

super power ?? India will never be a global super power in the mold of America

India position keeps on changing from 7th to 10th, nominal GDP...purchasing power parity is just a parity.

Well we all do embarrass ourselves sometime or the other.

Hanuman, intergalactic planes are all tales from our religious scriptures and they are as true as your allah, his messenger, or the jinns which your local maulvis peddle.

I understand the religious bit, no issues with having religious beliefs and keeping them to yourself.

My problem starts when India creates all the hullablo of "Sir G Kal strike in Pakistan", in the media, UN etc and when confronted for proof, simply say, "hey, look those were done by invisible Hanuman army, so stop asking for proof. Because I believe in that"

Or lay absurd claims to inventions such as Aeroplanes were invented not by Wright brothers but Vedic people some 7000 years ago, therefore, India should be recognized as official inventor of Airplanes.

See the point?

That is plain embarrassing, especially coming from supposdly "genious people".

. .
that is based on nominal GDP
based on PPP India is 3rd or 4th

As I have written earlier, nominal GDP is the international benchmark, approved and acknowledged by IMF, WB, ADP and all the international financial institutions...purchasing power parity is just a parity. Like suppose a haircut in India say cost about 50 Rs, but since it costs 15 dollar in US it must be equal to 1500 Rs. worth of service, Pak rupee rate here.

So PPP is just a comparative tool, nobody gives weight to it.

India will die once Pakistan becomes 1st world.

Of jealousy you mean?

Good Questions.
Do you understand metaphor or I shouldn't expect that from you.

Modi takes selfie. You dont? Is it prohibited in your holy law books. Atleast he is better than the horny President of a conservative muslims country who cant control his hormones before Sarah Palin. No wonder from a country which ranks number 1 in Animal **rn search.

Wait till the video. Just have some patience otherwise your mighty nation will again get caught like in Kargil. If the same happens this time you can call your country "Denialistan".

India may become a super may be after a century but Pakistan will never become. Not with global competitiveness index rank behind Zimbabwe. So just relax.

Sorry, but r@pe threads about India are not allowed on PDF. So don't go there and keep the discussion civil.

Of jealousy you mean?

It will disintegrate.

India is such a densely populated poor country. Its not like China or US. It is too dense and too stupid to climb into 1st world. It is lumbered with nearly a billion people who are either too poor or stupid.

Pakistan is leaner, smaller and will be more efficient. 1st world status is within reach. Once that happens India will burst at its seam due to financial inequality and seperate smaller states will form with objective of delivering economic justice.

I want to ask very seriously from our Indian neighbors
You don't want to ask anything seriously and this is another troll thread to do with the usual cyclical bad spike in relations, this time it's about the alleged surgical strike.

I've trolled plenty but I was thinking its about time we graduated from trolling and name calling to at least trying to have a real conversation with the other side, we don't have to agree but at least we can shoot for a valuable exchange, lately every thread here turns into a shouting/trolling match which can be fun but it gets old, its also foolish because instead of cutting through the media noise with direct interaction, we add to it.

So, to the extent possible, how about we try to not troll and not engage or feed the trolls ?
