'Why is he sporting an Ertugrul beard?': PM Modi's new look gets epic reactions on Twitter

mullahs in my country or any other are as disgusting (not all of them but most of them) as anywhere else,

That is a gross exaggeration.

you don't want to hear the stories why we the Muslim made sure a particular mullah of a large mosque in New York was not only charged for crimes against children, but indicted send to federal penitentiary and then deported back to his country of filth the shi**** along our west,

That Afghani janitor had bigger issues. US should have done his background check first before allowing him here, he was probably preying on victims back home too.

That is quite disgusting, but far from the norm. Muslims in the US have more an informant problem and entrapment issue than any other.

Do you have some insights on Palm leaf manuscripts, may be some legends, folklore on something called "naadian"?

Insights, no, that is above my pay grade, but some superficial information, yes. I am being cautious about this because there are those who are very well informed about these things. @Nilgiri is bound to know more, and there may be other Tamil gentlemen equally if not more informative.

On the other hand, there is much more that I know about the Bhrigu Samhita, another set of astrological predictions, because of peculiar family circumstances. If you ask me questions, I will either try to answer them, or find somebody who can answer them.

Hindutva system is based upon abusing and acting against any other system not based upon Brahminical supremacy. Hindutva system also promotes irrational beliefs.

What do RSS, Bajrang Dal, Sri Rama Sene, VHP etc do ?

And why would that be any of YOUR business?
Do you want me to start interpreting your religion & dissect it?

Why would YOU people tell us about our religion, when you don't want to hear from US about yours?

I thought it was about respecting each others religion & beliefs and get out each other's way..
has something changed in your interpretation of secularism that you lot shout from each and every roof top?

I presume you know the essentials, what naadi-astrology is, and how people use it, who the interpreters are, and so on?

A simple point. I am a proud socialist and you are a proud Hindutvadi. How should that be taken by anyone to mean ?

Actually as I mentioned somewhere my family is old very old, so old that only three families exist to date which can trace back their origin to over 3000 years. and if you are so old then you know many secrets, anyways, in one of the family archives it is mentioned that there exist palm writings based upon Naadian dating back to thousands of years, and that they have never been made public, kept secret. They mention the coming of "Kalki" in detail.... along timeline

A parwahat in varanasi did sort of indirectly admitted of their existence, but otherwise I have never been able to find much about them. So I am researching the topic.

Oh did I mention that I am writing a fiction series based around Indian mythology, actually I have planned two different series. Book 1 of series 1 is almost 70% done, with a job and other commitments its difficult to indulge in such activities.

You don't have just one identity, that of Socialist.
You have other identities as well, example muslim.

Just like my identity is not just a Hindu.
FYI, I am also a socialist, among other things.

Simple point being, don't comment other's crap when you don't want others to comment on yours.
You know, "the golden rule"...it applies to socialists as well.

. .
I am not clear. You are a Hindu or more precisely a Hindutvadi ( as your signature says ) ? How can a Hindutvadi be a socialist / progressive ?

Heh, you are again trying to interpret other's beliefs for them!

is this some sort of disease for you people?
Why would you ever tell some one what his religion and beliefs are suppose to be?

I/we know exactly what our religion and beliefs are,
kindly stop interpreting it for us, since you are not one of us.

Like I stated, you don't definitely want us to interpret yours,
live and let live buddy - THE GOLDEN RULE.

Same reason why they can be a secular state and Hindu Rashtra at the same time.

Use whichever is convenient for the moment.

'Why is he sporting an Ertugrul beard?': PM Modi's new look gets epic reactions on Twitter
By FPJ Web Desk

It was his ‘caveman’ appearance with long hair and an overgrown beard that led Twitter having a field day.

The date August 5 will go down in history as a momentous occasion, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya to set the construction of the grand Ram temple in motion, a reality that was the political and socio-religious dream of not just the BJP, but a vast section of Indians.

Dressed in traditional attire (dhoti and kurta) with shades of saffron and a mandatory face mask, the Prime Minister proceeded for the 'bhumi pujan' ceremony after offering prayers at the 10th century Hanuman Garhi temple, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

However, it was his ‘caveman’ appearance with long hair and an overgrown beard that led Twitter having a field day.

The fashion police decided to decode the Prime Minister’s look and even went on to compare it with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Ertugrul.

Here are some epic reactions.

At the 'bhumi pujan' site, PM Modi sat with Adityanath, UP Governor Anandiben Patel and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, maintaining adequate social distancing, amid chants of Sanskrit shlokas.

With soil and water from across the country and a silver brick weighing around 40 kg, the 'bhumi pujan' was an elaborate affair.

The guest list, including religious leaders who formed part of the movement that started in the 1980s, was restricted to 175 in view of the COVID-19 crisis.

Slogans of “Bharat Mataki Jai” and “Har Har Mahadev” went up as the ritual ended and PM Modi laid the foundation of the temple

The town, festooned with marigold flowers and yellow and saffron flags, celebrated the beginning of the construction of a grand Ram temple.

Sir ji, this is the result of him social distancing!!! He doesn't want to botch his beard and hairstyle cutting himself so he's just letting it grow - can't let a barber (covid-19) near him!

Or maybe he's mutating into the next Gandhi

I can help @ps3linux , if you have queries about naadi astrology. Yes it uses palm leaves, in fact I have been couple times to the temple which is somewhat of the heritage point (in modern times) for this astrology....but in my case for more conventional purpose...and also general prayer for good health (its a healing/health focused temple).

I personally don't believe in it (astrology) much and overall I am fairly ignorant of the astrology realm itself in my culture (past knowing of the broad contours and also basic planetary/solar astrology)....but my dad (and mom to some degree) is quite a huge believer and very well versed in it (his big disappointment in me is I never picked up this interest and belief). I would say my genetic disposition in my family for astrology has transmuted inside me to a keen undying interest in astronomy.

I can pass on questions if you have.... a lot (on finding your fortune through naadi leaf if it exists) is basically based on horoscope information and then stuff like palmistry if I remember correctly.

I am fairly ignorant to how much authenticity of this stuff is done in North India and rest of India at large...I have just heard some astrologers there also know of it and if well-meaning (imo) generally at some point will direct you to TN astrologer core at the temple I speak of (Vaitheeswaran), or some of their direct offshoots....as this is basically where the biggest repository of naadi leaves actually are....which is long drawn out story on its own.

There are a few buddhist astrologers that work a similar way iirc, when I saw a documentary on Tibetan buddhism one time.

...and in few days, most likely Modi will lay claim to be Lord Vishnu...

"PM Modi Is 11th Avatar Of Lord Vishnu," Says Maharashtra BJP Leader
Talking to a Marathi news channel, BJP spokesperson Avadhut Wagh said, "The country is fortunate that we have got a god-like leader in Modi."

Mumbai:

A Maharashtra BJP spokesperson on Friday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the "11th incarnation" of Lord Vishnu, prompting ridicule by the Opposition, with the Congress calling it an "insult" to the gods.

"Hon PM @narendramodi ji is the 11th #Avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu (sic)," state BJP spokesperson Avadhut Wagh said on Twitter.

Talking to a Marathi news channel, he said, "The country is fortunate that we have got a god-like leader in Modi."
