'Why is he sporting an Ertugrul beard?': PM Modi's new look gets epic reactions on Twitter

Don't tag me for news related to this joker Narendra Modi when he's having one of his whimsical moments...wildlife expert, tribal dress, Lord Vishnu Avatar, new style of beard

But do tag me when he's dead of Coronavirus or something like that. :cheesy:

Only hope for that is if Amit Shah and Modi locked lips

I honestly want to discuss some mythologies but haven't been able to find someone except for a Pandit in varanasi.
I have some theories I have correlated them, but this forum....Phhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I did suggest alternatives and options.

Calling Modi the 11th avatar of Vishnu is a nauseating piece of sycophancy. Hinduism is a tolerant religion; it is unlikely that the idiot making that remark would have walked away as he did, if he was making a similar remark about YHWH, for instance.

There is no eleventh avatar; Kalki is the tenth avatar.

Where did the Kalki avatar come from? I honestly don't know. These avatars are mentioned in the Puranas, which, as you know, were written at widely different times and by an assortment of people. There are resonances with Al Buraq, except that the divine steed is often shown with a human face, and with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

These ten avatars are all avatars of Vishnu, btw, and you will notice the sleight of hand with which the Buddha has been co-opted as the avatar of a Hindu God; that, if he had known in his lifetime, might have killed him with laughter.

I thought as much, but what baffles me is that if an un-initiated like me knows as much, the religious fraternity in India would know much more about the 11th avatar than me, it is sacrilege, desecration and yet not a single voice from the religious group? strange. As for the similarities still trying to figure out if both of the graphics have somehow been influenced by each other at any point in time like the case of Barnabis version of bible.

I don't think I'm eligible for a Pakistani visa without verification, despite my new passport.

But thanks for sharing.

You should check the website for online visa option. Its pretty easy now.

You have completely destroyed my inner peace. This is a nightmare vision.

And here I thought only Pee Pee party from sind and mullahs held G** orgies.

India is full of hypocrisies in the name of religion. So none of this surprises us Indians.

We have many cases of religious and spiritual "saints" raping females visiting them for spiritual blessings or whatever.
There are many religious cults in India that act as fronts for money laundering and human trafficking.

I am sure when I submit the application, they will want a full-page scanned PDF of my Singaporean passport where in the particular section, the place of birth clearly mentions "India." Either an Instant rejection or a further referral to the Pakistani Embassy.

Don't mind: I definitely have it a lot better than with my previous Indian passport. But both countries impose restrictions on the people born in either country, even if they took overseas citizenship. In fact, India goes a step further and UK-born Pakistanis (2nd generation) can't benefit from India's own VoA regimen. They have to apply for a visa at the Indian embassy, although it's a lot easier for them than someone with a Pakistani passport.

It's the background verification which is a make or break deal. And I do have a few problems in my background which the Pakistani embassy staff will straightaway flag for suspicion. I still have strong ties to the old country.

I want to go through a proper channel - let me consult a staff member at the Pakistani embassy and review my options. Also let me hear from any Indians who have overseas citizenship (and a PIO card) - what options they have if they wish to travel to Pakistan.

Come what may, I will be excited to visit next year itself when I'll be visiting India for 2-3 months. Maybe I'd like to hop on the Wagah bus as that's the best way to see Pakistan. Also, I don't want to be restricted to Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad...I would really like to visit places like Jhelum (and there are restrictions for Indian origin people).

In fact, one major reason I joined this forum was to get ideas on travel options to Pakistan. But all the damned politics between the two countries have side-tracked my purpose of this forum.

A guy grooming a beard is NATIONAL NEWS in India. It’s such a rarity for Indian men to neat set of facial hair.

Any man with an aesthetic beard is a random Joe in Pakistan. Watch out Aquaman!

When it comes to religious fraternity trust me most of them are scum, and birds of feather closely related in character with each other despite their difference in religion. One of the reason I have utter contempt and disgust for them, despite loving my religion and respecting all others.

I don't know, AFAIK for sikhs its open even if they were indian born and now holding a different passport. Like I think a babu in embassy would not be the right person to guide, decisions are made here. If you wanna come here check the online visa whats the worst that 'd happen.

BTW: if you or @Joe Shearer want to explore culinary delights of Pakistan (at least some of them) you can watch vlogs of Mark Wien, The Food Ranger and Best Ever food review by Sonny.

You are correct: the Pakistani embassies discriminate in favour of Sikhs from India, especially the ones born in the Punjab (both sides of the border are acceptable, I believe). Hindus (and even Muslims from India) are seen with suspicion. So a background check is a must.

On the other hand, the Indian embassies discriminate in favour of Pakistani Hindus. All Pakistani Muslims, whether they are UK or US-born are seen with suspicion.

So, basically, it's all political scoring by the bureaucrats of both countries.

I have already seen all those videos. I won't be satisfied till I explore the stuff in real by myself.

Maula Jutt (original) does not have a beard now, does he? I have seen a few old Pakistani films/TV dramas etc.

I don’t watch any Pakistani films or shows. But if he’s an actor, he probably doesn’t have a beard in real life (or probably just a stubble).

A lesson to be learnt by every one of us in India. I do not know the situation in Pakistan except through reports in the media, but the situation in India is in a morbid state. This is not about the harmless occasional sadhu seeking his salvation away from human society, this is about the God-men in their Rolls Royces, who suck the blood of millions.

As I said, this is a very tolerant religion, and people get away with the grossest abuse of its tolerance. This set of politicians in power is hand in glove with most of the Hindu God-men, and even stand with them on the same platform celebrating the ugliest betrayal of democracy and the Rule of Law of recent times.
