Why india sent reconnaissance balloon over Bangladesh?

I think its a weather balloon. It should only have data collection, storage, and maybe transmission capability.

Bangladesh weather service uses balloons too. Balloons can stray depending on wind direction.

Quite right, seems to be a weather balloon for taking readings in the upper atmosphere. About balloons straying; indeed they can and over great distances. There have been cases of Taiwanese balloon found in Tripura, only they were not weather balloons but carrying propaganda leaflets in Chinese meant for the Mainland Chinese, back in the 'bad old days' of the Cold War and the Bamboo Curtain et al.

Why india sent reconnaissance balloon over Bangladesh?

Last Saturday an indian balloon crashed in Jhenaidah district inside Bangladesh. Label indicates electronic equipments belongs to indian space institution, or is it?

Questions are:

1)why india sent recon balloon over Bangladesh violating Bangladesh airspace?
2) What was real purpose of indian recon balloon?
3) Why Awami govt and its authority are mute about this indian violation and intention?

You know if i was an Indian i would simply say(instead of making excuses)that yes our agencies were probably spying on you so what everyone does that as you know that knowing is half the battle.

That could be possible explantion but one would expect explantion from authorities and most importantly from indians. Specially when their balloon corssed over int'l boarder. That is if india consider Bangladesh border as int'l boarder.

Considering the fact that they are building their submarine base in the Jungle, the space program has to be under water somewhere
