Why India Can't Compete With China in Manufacturing

.
"Why India Can't Compete With China in Manufacturing"? In a nutshell, it is because Indians have not yet realized what exactly holds their country back, which CPC realized about China at their founding almost 100 years ago. A complete social revolution will help, until then, India will always be like the India has always been.

Good description. Indians nominally gained independence. But they never self introspect to see why they were colonized. They in turn trying to be the imperialist to its neighbors. It’s smaller neighbors Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc can feel India’s imperialist policy. When India tried to extend the imperialist policy into China in 1962 during China’s worst famine. They got their *** whooped. So the lesson to India’s neighbor is to repeat 1962 against India. Unless India cease its imperialism.

They (and many big third world countries, like in Sub Sahara Africa countries) need to have someone like Stalin or Hitler to make a real bloody revolution in their countries (not coup d'etat) to kill all social diseases, before they can become decent countries.

I do not say they can never do, but it is extremely difficult. First they have to have people with such mentality, who is strong and confident enough to recognize that there are such diseases in their societies, and he has to have supports from people to get them killed off.

But Indian believe in Western-style democracy, the system which is now killing Western societies as well.

Tajikistan and Kirghizstan were quite modern countries during Soviet times, with all radicals and religious issues almost non-existant. But now, thank to democracy introduced by the West, together with the poverty, they are now slowly becoming kind of Afghanistan. Even Afghanistan under pro-Soviet Nazibulah was a modern country, where women could wear mini-skirts on the streets.

In this age of intervention (indirectly through information media), it is very unlikely to carry out a classical, constructive revolution to clean off every bad culture that holds back development.

India is probably the least potential country to have a constructive revolution. If there was one, they will likely end up yet another failed state like in Libya.

They had a chance perhaps in the 1940s, but not today. They will be slaved by the global manufacturing chain and they will always have slum development, poverty and large swaths of people with no chance (and even hope) for a better life.

Their misguided foreign policy does not help, either.

The rise of newly industrialized nations since World War 2, are on the bedrock of centralized government and planing (managed market instead of free market). At the meanwhile, western economists advocate economic growth via democracy, and free market capitalism.

Democracy impedes and but promotes industrialization. China did the opposite.

To industrialized, one need to build road, factories and even create an entire city from scratch, as seen in Shenzhen. The required land is forcibly acquired, in massive abuses of property rights. Low wages are created by shutting down large number of state own enterprises, and deliberate neglect of the rural, in order to compel the young villagers to seek opportunities elsewhere.

This cannot happen within a country of strong opposition, large numbers of NGOs, and an army of parasitic lawyers.

Good point. But India will do one better. They plan to skip industrialization and go directly to an information economy. So they don’t need infrastructure development or even sanitation.

Best example of slave mentality at work

While you are being so proud that many oversea Indians are working for those multinationals, oversea Chinese are busy building their own empires, here is a few that founded the companies that most people heard of.
Lee Ka Lau, Francis Lau, Benny Lau, and Kwok Yuen Ho founded ATI in 1985 as Array Technology Inc.
Jensen Huang along with other two founded Nvidia in 1993 and hold the position of CEO until today.
Jerry Yang and David Filo founded Yahoo in 1994.
Steve Chan cofounder of Youtube.
John J. Sie founded Starz Inc, the world's largest pay TV programmer.
James Chu, the founder of Viewsonic, one of the largest computer monitor brands.
David Sun, founder of Kingston Technology, one of leading flash memory producer.
Min Kao, founder of Garmin, GPS navigation unit brand.
And ther list goes on and on.

Infact you guys have lined up for H1B (Slavery in your language) but you are not getting it because of your semi educated skills.

Wait. Today is still holiday. Tomorrow they will most likely announce the China-beating Indian supercomputer.
Congrats on their 2017 supa computa achievement!
Proudly make in india!

Yes, they just need to write codes for the west, and listen to complain calls in english!
So envy they have english as their lingua franca!

SP2012 has to compete with Sub-Sahara Africa first!

Well, I guess the Indians are really proud of being the one that accounts for almost half of the H-1B visa holders.

Meanwhile the Department of Homeland Security annual report indicates that H1-B workers in the field of Computer Science are paid a mean salary of $75,000 annually (2014) almost 25,000 dollars below the average annual income for software Developers and studies have found that H-1B workers are paid significantly less than U.S. workers. It is claimed that the H-1B program is primarily used as a source of cheap labor.

You don't have to keep repeating it like a broken record.
We get it, Indians like to leave their country and family and slave in the US with low wages(but high compared to India).
The Chinese prefer to stay home with their families and toil for the progress of their homeland.
Different folks, different strokes.

I am happy more Indians get to go to the US instead of infesting Singapore.

Singapore blocks visas for Indian IT professionals

Indians please go to the US, don't come here to Singapore.
Good riddance.
