Why I converted to Islam and buried my Hindu identity

I see it as a good practice to follow your culture.
Even I don't have a problem if a family gives importance to language and culture. Personally, I would like my children to marry people of same language and same culture.. It makes life so much easier.
Bottom line converting is nothing more than political gimmick
Well, here we don't have a say. Even if I know that someone is accepting Islam due to a political reason, I am no one to suspect his/ her intentions. This is what we have been instructed.

Regarding shame, ISIS will bring too much shame for us Muslims.. only if a large population of Muslims start sharing their standpoint. At this moment, they are very few.... less than a percent. Unless ISIS gets support from mainstream Islam (which is not possible).. the "shame" argument doesn't hold any weight.

The only gimmick around here is pdf Hindus avoiding condemnation of caste slavery, and instead conflating people's marriage choices with their filthy gift to the world.

I don't give a fkk what some Saudi princess wants in a husband - she wouldn't marry half the men in Saudi, never mind dalits or Pakistanis or anyone else. Indeed, most women in general ....the vast majority .....will have a strict list of criteria governing whom they procreate with.

How can marriage choices be conflated with caste discrimination? Do you think the Saudi princess will tell the Dalit Muslim guest at her wedding that he can't eat off a certain plate or sit in a certain chair?

But hey - keep trying to desperately deflect attention. We're all having a good chuckle.
Some seriously "incel" lines of debate are being proposed in defence of casteism here.

If I was part of the lower castes, it would be a no brainer to convert to another religion, be it Islam, Buddhism or Christianity. Why subject myself to permanent disrespect and discrimination?

You triggered just of some queries, if equality is such a core of the religion what is the concept of Imam and Shahi imam?? If equality was core of Islam we should have have a sole country if Islamic nations. In reality no such place exist.. BTW why have honor killing exist in Pakistan, when in the eyes of Islam all are equal??

In China, you only convert to puppets. The option you left out..

Look man, if you are (a) frustrated at constant rejections from Saudi girls or (b) under some impression that honour killing is legal in Pakistan or a core tenet of Islam, then I can't really help you with your "queries".

Chill buddy, nothing personal it just that inequality is human nature till ego exist. Even god didn't made us all equal. So I really hate this concept of running for equality. I you are 100% healthy, go for achieving heights in your field. Equality is demand of a looser not ready to move his azz around.

Your remarks are as close to silliness as one can get.

Equality before God and in religion does not mean there is an equality in profession or educational qualification or economic stratification. The latter are the result of hard work and individual effort.

An Iman is an honorific title for a person to lead prayers at a mosque, but the criteria for such a position is Islamic education and not caste, ethnic background, skin color or place of birth.

This such a BS comment. You don't know anything about Islam.
Forget your local mosques, ex Dalits (now Muslims) can now kiss the Black Stone inside Masjid ul Haraam, without any questions asked.

Yep, it's literally that easy.

People convert for various reasons. Some for spirituality, others to escape social stigmatism. If you read the writings of Dalits who converted to Islam or Buddhism, they converted to escape the caste structure and social stigma associated with it.

As a born Muslim, I cannot even pretend to understand what social stigma they may have experienced within the caste structure of Hinduism, but apparently it was terrible enough for them to seek a literal leap of faith,

1) Religious discussions are not allowed.

2) Hindu is a geographical notation not a religious one.

Whole Article is aimed to promote Clash of Civilisation with Islam being an easy target. PDF should not take part in this cynicism.
