Pakistan is a country with beautiful landscape that rivals India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan.

I can see why a Pakistani would say meh at Bangladesh’s landscape given the bounty in their border.

But Bangladeshis should visit Pakistan not just India.

I think they will be treated much better than they are in India. Especially unsafe due to Hinduvta thugs.

I personally would love to visit Pakistan but getting a Pakistani visa on my passport would complicate things!!!!

I want to hear:

1. What Pakistanis are doing to attract Bangladeshi tourists.

2. What would make Bangladeshis visit Pakistan over India.

And pls refrain from demanding apologies from Pakistan for 1971! If you can trade with the savage Burmese and shake hands with the terrorist Modi - you can be civil to Pakistanis whilst cajoling them for a reconciliation.

cause than you cant visit India afterward- like it'll become extremely difficult
when you have a Pakistani visa on your passport unless you're a westerner, you can't really get an Indian visa, or if you did it'll be a painstaking journey and Bangladesh have a lot more connections with India so somewhere along the line you'll need to visit india

B- 71 is a Bangladeshi thing, Pakistani especially the younger crowd for the large part don't care about it

Yep! India has totally cornered Pakistan with the visa ban.

Our landscape is more diverse than Bhutan and Srilanka. If you love lush green valleys , snow capped peaks there aren't many places in the world that rival's Pakistan.

I don't think it will complicate things on your passport. More Pakistani's get American visit visa than Bangladeshi's do. Same goes for UK/Schengen visa if you see numbers. In last 5-6 years we have had a surge in foreign tourism and one of the reasons is ease of visa process. Another is we have improved road network and 5 star hotels even at places which are 8000 feet above sea levels. Tourism industry is now worth $8-10 billion in Pakistan

Visa process is very simple now you dont need to visit any consulate. Just apply online. They introduced this last year. Bangladesh is on the list of eligible countries that can apply online and get a visa.

Bangladesh and Pakistan both has visa restrictions on each other, which pakistan removed just last year. That's one reason. India and SEA countries often promote their tourism sector in Bangladesh, which pakistan doesn't. Another reason pakistan has bad reputation in people's mind.
I don't think india will ever be replaceable by any country in bangladesh tourism sector, let alone pakistan. Geography, culture etc plays important role

There are people in Bangladesh who will want to visit Pakistan, women especially - for Shaadi shopping opportunities. India makes tens of Billions every year from this sector. If there was a way Bangladeshi women could shop for Pakistani products without visiting it they'd jump at the chance.

Personally speaking, I'd love for Pakistani entrepreneurs to bring more Pakistani products to Bangladesh (especially clothing, cutleries, surgical instruments, sports products and furniture). Bangladeshi tariff should be lowered for those categories made in Pakistan.

Those products are much higher in quality than that of India, for the same price. I can vouch for the quality of surgical instruments (especially knives and scissors) which I have personally used.

Some more products,

Bengalis are almost never welcomed by indians abroad, in the same way they are by Pakistanis. Pakistanis has strong affinity for muslims and i am proud to say that many of the most honorable and best people in my life has been pakistani.

In my experience, Indians, except Punjabi Sardar and maybe some bengalis, do not befriend Bangladesis, Neither do Bangladeshis befriend Indians.

OTOH it should be mentioned that Pakistan embassy is very selective with giving travel-visa to bangladeshis. Being a member of Awami League will significantly reduce chance of landing a visa.

There were many Bengalis living in Pakistan till early 2000's.

My Quran teacher was a Bengali Molvi sahab. There used to be a Bengali community near my home in Karachi, I think they still live there, but population has greatly reduced though.

-- They're hardworking people, I must say, quick learners and agile

-- Visting Bangladesh is in my Bucket list. I'm wondering if Urdu is still spoken there

LOL at the last paragraph.

Jokes aside, the Bangladeshi HC in Islamabad did celebrate Victory day last year and fed Mithai to attending Pakistani high officials. Is that itself an indicator of how open Pakistanis are? Would India ever allow such a thing? You decide....

Imran Khan was huge on tourism industry. That is why he simplified visa procedure for most countries. Visa application is all online now.

Bangladeshis should certainly visit Pakistan and not just for tourism but business as well. It can benefit immensely from CPEC with its growing industrial capability.

I suggested a long time ago that Pakistan should open a lifeline for Central Asia "~Stan" cotton to pass to Bangladesh via China (Kashgar) using Karachi port and overland route. If Pakistan allows this, then Pakistani semi-truck operators can make a tidy living transporting Cotton from Central Asian republics.

Bangladeshi container carrier vessels are quite ready and capable to link Karachi port with Chittagong port. They already link with EU Southern ports and can stop at Karachi to pick up cotton (or Pakistani exports) containers on the way, before/after Suez Canal.
