Why don’t more Bangladeshis visit Pakistan?

Jokes aside, the Bangladeshi HC in Islamabad did celebrate Victory day last year and fed Mithai to attending Pakistani high officials. Is that itself an indicator of how open Pakistanis are? Would India ever allow such a thing? You decide....

India comes off as xenophobic country, to me. I believe its a compensating behaviour in many ways, so to is their nationalism, which i find very over the top. All this while indians are leaving their own country for good in droves to foreign countries.

Affordability of overseas travel is an issue, people can travel to India by bus which is cheaper. The ones who can afford to travel by air would rather choose Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Lankawi and Maldives. I don't think many Bangladeshis think of Pakistan as a popular travel destination. There seems to be a recent trend of people traveling to Bali and Langkawi.

I think that can be changed by launching cheap direct travels a la Ryanair.

A very simply philosophy ... success has many fathers and failure is an orphan .. if pakistan will be a rising economic power hub of south asia we will see everyone rushing here and if they keep continue doing same way as they are doing now our own golden brains will keep migrating and situation at world canvas will remain same

Pakistan is a country with beautiful landscape that rivals India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan.

I can see why a Pakistani would say meh at Bangladesh’s landscape given the bounty in their border.

But Bangladeshis should visit Pakistan not just India.

I think they will be treated much better than they are in India. Especially unsafe due to Hinduvta thugs.

I personally would love to visit Pakistan but getting a Pakistani visa on my passport would complicate things!!!!

I want to hear:

1. What Pakistanis are doing to attract Bangladeshi tourists.

2. What would make Bangladeshis visit Pakistan over India.

And pls refrain from demanding apologies from Pakistan for 1971! If you can trade with the savage Burmese and shake hands with the terrorist Modi - you can be civil to Pakistanis whilst cajoling them for a reconciliation.

Bangladesh govt does not give Pakistanis visas to travel to the country even business visas are rejected.

in that scenario, what do you think about Bangladeshis visiting Pakistan?

Obviously, not issuing visas was wrong.

I am told it is now rectified.

Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are brothers because we saw the folly of a multiethnic Hinduvta land.

Thanks to Zinnah, Mujib and other Bengali leaders - we have two proud Muslim countries.

Countries are long way from being perfect but at least minorities are not systematically hounded by the leader of the national government.

I would love to visit bangladesh .
Most welcome. :-)

I don't think we are talking about the same type of Bengalis.

Visitors and tourists from Bangladesh typically will be higher middle class people and of course be able to afford at least three star hotels. They will also shop at boutiques and malls rather than roadside bazaars and stores.
It will help pak economy as well .

we recently welcomed those Bengalis after Eid. they were industrialists and were with a WB delegation, crazy buying spree,

even i remember during Gen Musharraf time we host Indians mostly industrialists for cricket matches in Pakistan. their three day stay was spent in markets except match timings.

no it is not... even recently (this week) having British passport, rejected by Bangladesh embassy in Islamabad.

It’s weird how even when we were one country, the people to people ties were basically non existent.

I’m sure Pakistan and Bangladesh can cooperate on a lot, but one side will have to take the first step, We the successors of West Pakistan might need to be that side.
