Donald Trump, while running for the Republican Party, really was an independent.

According to the Chinese constitution, anyone is allowed to vote or stand for election,
but this BBC News video shows what happens if an independent try.

What appears to be government stooges show up, block access to the candidate,
closes the door, when the candidate opens, blocks the windows when the candidate opens them, puts hands on cameras, and in the end violently shove the journalists away.

Way to go...

Waiting for members of a particular country to Insult you and call you names
Also, for this post many people of a certain country are going to abuse India a lot

Those are local villagers and what's behind this report is unknown, and this particular reporter has been at odds with the Chinese government for a long time, I don't know how he can still work in China and not being deported?

China doesn't have the freedom of being shot by the police just because your skin is a bit dark. China doesn't have the freedom of being afraid of being mugged if you walk at night or accidental roam into a wrong neighborhood, China doesn't have the freedom of constantly in fear of being raped if you are a woman. There's a lot of freedom that China doesn't have.

It would take nothing short of a revolution for the Chinese to gain rights to vote, let alone for an independent candidate. The authoritarianism, corruption, censorship, and kleptocracy that runs rampant within Chinese leadership is exactly why Western nations must be cautious when doing business with their leaders.

Is this considered voting?

Perfection explanation of how China develops so fast while US declines.

Why don't you try explaining what is happening on that video?? For someone who doesn;t know politics they would assume some thugs are blocking this person to get to an independent candidate. If you explain to them what your govt. has achieved does not cut ice because their is fine line between freedom and rebellion and for others this is undue interference from the govt.

Check this video and in that explained everything you need to know about living in China as a resident and not a political journalist.

In 2000, 22,000 visas were issued to Chinese nationals in the US; in 2012, that number jumped to 189,000. Increased government investment in China's education system has also contributed to a larger portion of the Chinese population being able to apply for study abroad, she said.
Study, stay, marry, and become US citizens.

Because US had two parties instead of one?
No.
They came for higher salaries, superior education facilities and cheaper cost of luxuries.

Why did Mexicans and Indians immigtate to the US like the Chinese do?
Is it because they don't have a democratic government?

It's really ironical to see liberals flattering Trumps “democratic” victory to cover up the darkside of their politics. When Zhihu (China‘s Quora)users supporting and predicted Trump's winning from the Amercian society point of view in the whole course,What were western mainstream media and social platforms doing?Crazy man insults women again?

COME ON!We dont need your holy words to learn your democracy in such a kneeling & licking way coz we can acknowledge it better that you did!

Yes!A man like Trump would never be elected in China. And I admit that Trump is a proof that western system has not failed yet.But there is no need for Chinese to base our hope on one candidate to make a big change and fix the nation‘s policy.Though China's system is still far from perfect but most people would like to support this stable and working one rather than the one which is now in trouble. It's fine for you to propagate the warmth and brightness of fire, but not the day when you are burning in it.:pop:
