Why doesn’t India have its own Silicon Valley?

Quality rather than Quantity is the measure...we all know how stats are fudged in India. Show us whats the next big thing the world is going to go after and how did it come out of India.

Lets talk facts !

I don't know if we can start a silicon valley in India but our family is doing our part in startup culture. Both are Hyderabad based companies. One is service oriented and recently started and other one has been around for about 15 years and is a product company. I just want to make you aware about dynamics of Indian companies.

Well we already have many Silicon Valley like cities in India, for example Hydearbad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Noida cities have very huge IT parks. It's good to have distributed IT park rather than one single Silicon Valley.

you dont have to apologise.

actually what i really like about India is the true effort in training graduates in the latest IT technologies. Their are some real good IT training institutes that train people for a fraction of the cost compared to other countries.

The timing was good for India. These graduates came just when demand for IT went through the roof. So many received H-1B visas, as a result.

I hear Pakistan is making waves in IT!
